The Cobweb Receipt - This Ain't Your Granddad's Dorm Fridge My 2-Year Update Experience
The Cobweb Receipt - This Ain't Your Granddad's Dorm Fridge My 2-Year Update Experience Ok, so I’m pulling the "cobweb receipt" on this one—we’ve had this Igloo 3.2 Cu. Ft. Single-Door Compact Fridge since March 2024. While it looks like a typical dorm fridge, it has been holding up in a much tougher environment than usual in our covered, walled-in back patio. Even being subjected to extreme heat and cold, the black finish still looks brand new with no scratches. Special note: I’m not sure if it is intended for this environment, but that’s where we have it and it’s running well. The Performance (The "Thump" and the "Hum"): • The Seal: When you close it, you get that satisfying "new car thump" sound. It requires a little tug to get open, which I love because you know for sure it’s actually sealed when you walk away. • Noise Level: It stays silent in the background doing its duty. You really have to stop and listen to hear the mechanical hum; it doesn't dominate the space like some small fridges that "squeal" or "squish.", like it’s gargling. • Durability: I have a busy family constantly going in and out of this thing, and it has handled that high-traffic use which it should. Internal Observations & Maintenance Note: The inside is solid and the shelves are sturdy. So, I did notice about an inch of ice in the corner recently, but I have the temperature dial set all the way to "7." I suspect the ice is simply because I have it on the coldest setting combined with the freezer door maybe being left open. It’s a good reminder that if you see frost, you might just need to dial it back a bit rather than assuming the fridge is failing. Our Uses: Beyond your typical use, this is our go-to secondary storage for cold packs. If you use ice packs for a sore knee or a workout, you know they can dominate your main freezer space—this is the perfect dedicated spot for them. The Cobweb Receipt Verdict: Overall, I'm very happy with it. It’s reliable, robust, and definitely outperforming expectations. Two years in, it’s still running really well.

excellent ice cold mini!
fast shipping and works way better than my old mini. i had to turn this one down 2 times already for freezing the cans solid. but i just wish better care would be taking on the handling cause it did arrive with numerous dents in the corners. it seems to be a major problem with these items.

Good little fridge, wish I'd have bought it sooner
I tried using ice makers and a cooler to keep my beer cold in the shop and after failing miserably, I finally broke down and bought this little fridge. First off, lets check all the boxes... Value for money, yes, it's there. Quality, I don't know what goes into making a fridge but this seems to work pretty well and feels solid. Temp control, it's cold so from my standpoint it's working like it should, the freezer needs defrosted but that works for the wounded soldier that needs a quick cool. Now, here's what I don't like and for the missing star... The shelves need to be a little deeper. If they were, I could get two 30 packs and maybe still have room for my buddy's tall boys in the bottom. The door....be careful with the door. If you pack every slot and space with beer, it'll become a little front-end heavy so make sure everyone knows to empty the door first, otherwise you'll have that one buddy, and you know which one I'm talking about, he'll take that last one that ends up offsetting the balance and it'll tip forward, dumping out what's left. God bless him.... So, while it's nice to have a cooler full of beer on ice, it gets old and this little fridge keeps just enough cold beer on hand that you don't feel bad about your life's decisions because a full size fridge just screams alcoholic.

Great dorm fridge.
Bought this for my son‘s dorm room in Washington state but we had no place to ship it to in Washington so we bought it in Florida and transported it in his Toyota 4runner on a three week long cross country trip. No, it does not fit standing up in the back, but we read all of the online instructions about how you should lay it on its side if you’re going to transport it and if you do Transport it on its side that you should wait 24 hours before plugging it in. So we followed all of those instructions and we took it out out of the box to transport it, but we left the shelves taped in, etc.. And he waited like 36 hours to plug it in because it wasn’t a priority And it worked like a champion And it’s been working great. It fits perfectly in his dorm room. He has a small dorm room. He put a Culligan water filtration system in there. He can refill his water bottles with and he has two ice trays up top that have lids on them. It looks great in his dorm room. It was a great price. We bought it during Amazon prime days. So this is a very durable very durable refrigerator. I hope he gets many years out of it. We are very happy with it. I’m attaching a very blurry photo of it but it’s worth it.

It died after only 2 weeks???
It died 2 weeks after I got it :( I didn't overfill it (I think it may have been used?? it only had one small tray and 1 regular tray I believe there should have been 2 large) It worked great for 2 weeks then I left it alone for a couple days and went back to get a drink out of it and they were warm?? Everything (which wasn't much) was warm :( I checked the plug it was good (unplugged it and plunged in another device it came on fine??) checked to see if there was a fuse?? Didn't find one nor a on/off switch it was just dead :( I had already thrown the box and Filler away ,cause it was working great!) So I gave it no stars now I have to find one locally (they are twice to 3 times the price here ??) so I can take it back if it breaks in 2 weeks (I didn't want to give it a star review but they wont let me post unless I give in 1 star which is to high for a 2 week working fridge :(
