This is a money saver and a time saver. We were buying shredded cheese normally but now we buy blocks and shred it. That saves money and is so easy to do. Great for salad and snacks, slicing carrots and cucumbers. Cleanup is super easy with blades being dishwasher safe. The description on Amazon says base is dishwasher safe also but instructions say to clean the base by hand. Still super easy. This is an attachment that is getting used. And it really works well.

A nice grinder that works great for shredding cheese, esp hard dry Parmesan cheese. This item is better than expected.

Just a heads-up: it’s designed for KitchenAid mixers. I actually have a GE, but my husband was able to retrofit it to work since GE doesn’t seem to offer anything like this.
