this Mountain Feist pup has gone through 4 different harnesses and so far this one is holding up and he hasn't been able to escape it yet either.

Needs to have a more adjustable belly strap.

The way this harness is made you can pull up on the handle to help a dog stand and walk. It is also great for my Houdini as he cannot just wiggle out of it. It is made well from good materials and has nice stitching. it adjusts well and is secure.

I tried several harnesses for my senior dog before thankfully finding this one. His hind legs are very weak and it is perfect for helping him get up and down the stairs and also keeping him from falling backwards when he’s “doing his business.” This has been a GameChanger!

I really like this dog harness. It has an extra strap in the back which makes the handle more stable and it really is escape proof. At least my dog hasn't gotten out of it. My dog seems comfortable wearing this harness and i would recommend it to others.

This harness is working great for my 70lb labrador. She likes to pull out of harnesses, but isn't able to pull out of this one.

In theory, this is probably a great harness for active dogs. For many, a harness with 2 sets of straps, one on each side of the front legs, with a chest pad tying them together, is probably enough. But I have pretty active and assertive dogs, and a traditional harness has a tendency to ride up a bit on the chest. So something that has a third set of straps is intended to hold it down closer to their waists.But sizing is a bit of an issue with this unit. Where my larger pittie/boxer mixes wear a large collar and harness from every other manufacturer, when I first attached this product in a similar large size, it may be a bit too big. And the neck adjustments are not significant, so the smallest I can make the neck hole, which is the only part of the harness without a buckle, so it has to simply go over the head, is almost certainly still a bit too big. The other four points of connection have more substantial adjustments, so I think we can compensate for this shortcoming in other ways.That said, this thing is going to last! The straps are durable and the nylon buckles seem substantial. The handle in top is nylon and rubber, so they clearly intended that a dog's handler might hold that comfortably for a long time without it cutting into their hand. And because of the position lower on the dog's body, your canine friend is also likely to be far more comfortable, even while being restrained. While it may be slightly too large for my fully grown 70 pound adult dog, the pup is still growing and shows every sign that she may need more assertive restraint methods and, once she grows a bit more, this should do the trick. Had I known, though, I probably would have gotten a medium.
