This review is for the SUNMEG Motion Sensor Light Bulb. This is a regular LED bulb with a motion sensor embedded that makes it a standout. The item arrived in a very simple package. The package contained two of these light bulbs individually packed. Unfortunately, the package didn’t include any user guide. These globe-shaped bulbs are rated at 12W with operating input voltage from 100-240V ac. These daylight bulbs produce cool white brightness at 6000 Kelvins/ 1000 lumens. The motion sensor enables this light bulb to automatically light up on detecting a motion in the dark or at night when the surrounding light intensity falls below 10 Lux. The sensor has a range of 120 degrees and 5-7 meters. It then turns off automatically in around 40 seconds when no further motion is detected within the range of its sensor. The bulbs are compatible with the regular E26 socket. These motion sensor bulbs are not just energy efficient but also help reduce electricity bills significantly making them an obvious choice over regular LED light bulbs. Further, with plastic casing instead of glass, these are safer to use, especially outdoors and during harsh weathers and also safe to store, if needed. However, due to the sensor’s placement on the bulb’s head, the motion detection feature can only work if the bulb fits in your bulb holder with the sensor end facing down so that the motion you intend to detect stays in its detection range. Further they aren’t suitable for recessed lighting, concealed lights or bulbs that might get exposed to the elements. The price of these bulbs is slightly on the higher side; else I would like to replace all light bulbs across the house with these ones right away. Overall, it’s a pretty well conceived product that’s been realized equally well!

The bulb works exactly as I hoped; I installed this on my back porch. I do not use the dimming capability - for me, it is just meant to turn on and off at night when there's motion. It was hard to find the right product - one that both turns on only in the dark, and only when there's motion. The light stays on as long as there is motion, but otherwise turns off in about a minute, not adjustable. The brightness is reasonable.

Ordered two and neither of them worked. The idea was to place them in a closet. Both bulbs came on when screwed into light socket, turned off, but failed to respond to motion. We tried them in multiple light fixture and the same thing happened. Great idea but these bulbs do not work.

I have 4 of these light bulbs and frankly I am a H U G E fan! I have 2 in the master bath closets ( no more chance of leaving those lights on all day by mistake) one in the kitchen pantry and the 4th in the laundry room. The light output is more than adequate and they work fantastically. Not only are they convenient but prevent using electricity when not need by shutting down in 90 seconds when not detecting motion. The vendor is also incrediable as they follow up via email to ensure your satisfaction with the product.

One thing that I've found is that the motion detection does not work through clear glass. My fixtures without glass worked just fine, I even took the clear glass cover off one of the fixtures and they worked.

These lamps are great. The motion sensors are perfect for my garage, and they have great light output as well. They do shut off after 60 seconds which is great for saving power, but can be problematic for work areas when you are still too long. The sensitivity is great and they kick back on with little motion.

I bought two packs of 2 ea. The lights are installed in my basement and they don't always respond to movement even though I walk up to it and stand underneath. Great idea, the light sensor does not respond as it should on all four bulbs. :(
