I am impressed by how much the enclosure cuts down on the noise, I can keep it running under my desk while I work during the day. The timer and variable speed are nice additions. The information booklet and instructions are super clear. Customer service is incredibly responsive and helpful. My free bag of rocks arrived super quickly after registering the warranty. There was a part that needed replacing, and they sent me the replacement parts very quickly and were very supportive. If you are getting into the hobby but don't want the National Geographic tumbler making way more noise, less options and sub-par polish, I recommend this model. I do recommend getting a step 5 grit that's 8K+ to get an extra luscous shine.

Works well and is significantly more silent than non-enclosed tumblers. Its very nice they include spare parts for some of the consumables (the rubber belts). My only suggestion is that the grit / polish it comes with probably should be somewhat different. The final polish is nowhere near the correct consistency. Generally to get a good shine you need something on the order of 8000 grit, not just 1200. Also you need a fair bit more ceramic media than provided. Also (nitpicking) the timings listed in the instruction book are way too short to get a good grind and polish on rocks. You need to opt to go much longer on the number of days of each level.BUT, in terms of hardware which is really what you are buying here, this is a nice unit. Expect to buy other consumables (grit and media) which is pretty normal anyway, and you won't be disappointed in the unit.

Great rock tumbler. I love that it has a brushless motor. Many other kits on Amazon use brushed motors that wear out after just a couple months of use. So I'm really hoping this one will last much longer with the brushless motor. About a month in and so far so good.Plus the enclosed design dramatically cuts down the noise levels from this tumbler.

What a great tumbler. This is my first foray into rock tumbling. This tumbler is quiet - so not too worry that it will be too loud.Still new to tumbling - but I am satisfied with how things are progressing

My son got a rock tumbler for Christmas and was so very excited. Since he was little we have always collected rocks and love the rock shop. When he opened up the box to get ready to tumble it was missing the grit, screwdriver and extra belts. It took a bit longer than expected, however when I contacted customer service they were very apologetic as supplies were limited due to all the purchases for the holidays. It took over a week but we were finally able to tumble. So far we are pleased.

Great materials that work fantastic. Super easy to use, the weights are on point. Produces a great shine with super spinability.
