This darling gnome is perfect, perfectly crafted and perfectly painted. I purchased chalk markers for writing messages on his black chalkboard. His first task will be to wish a 90 year friend, "Happy Birthday". He'll be perfect on the cake table surrounded by sunflowers and cake. He is heavy and won't tip over. He was carefully packaged and arrived safely. I think he is cute and charming. Did I mention that he is perfect? Gnome lovers will love him. He would make a wonderful gift. I can imagine him in a coffee shop, where his blackboard would come in really handy.

At first the photos of this gnome confused me, but then I understood he is holding a little chalkboard. Cool.So now he is in the new gnome's lodge holding the sign for the upcoming meeting. I think they are going to discuss getting some furniture. Someone has to let everyone know. He’s a good working gnome and they will probably vote him into office in the lodge. He’s jovial and just a nice guy to take the time to do this job.The details of his back aren’t spectacular, but the gnome is a well rounded fellow and I’m pleased with his paintwork. There is a happy butterfly on his hat.He could be used to deliver many little messages around the home or garden. You do have to rub chalk on the board to “season” it so it will work with chalk, and of course chalk isn’t included.This is a neat little gnome. I think he’s priced a wee bit high, but he does have that butterfly on his hat. He came shipped in the Styrofoam sandwich that protects most traveling gnomes. He's looking like he's going to be an upstanding member of the community.

My daughter loves this little guy for her bedroom. She constantly changing what his board says for her friends that come over. It seems well made and looks good. Gnomes are always popular so anyone would love to get this as a gift for their house, room or garden.

This sturdy little gnome holding a customizable chalk board is really nice. You can write what you want on the sign and put him out for display. He is painted nicely and is a great addition to any front walkway or garden.

I love this gnome for my classroom. I plan on writing a daily word or goal on the board to get my kids to think. Sometimes the Gnome will be looking for clean desks or student compliments. Other times, the Gnome will challenge them to think about a work like "curiosity". On birthdays, the Gnome will sit on the student's desk with a birthday message. He be part of our class pictures as well.However, the chalkboard doesn't work too well. I like to use pencil chalk but that doesn't work at all (See the photo with the circle). Regular chalk only works on part of the board. I'm not sure what to do, but I will have to research ways to recoat the board to make it better for writing. A little work might make the Gnome better.

Very cute gnome. He fits right in with the collection. I am a bit worried about the chalkboard being outside but it does say for outdoor or indoor use. The chalkboard worked perfectly and the whole thing seems like it's great quality. It's not heavy but enough weight to not worry about being outside. It's been outside all summer and so far it's been fine.

This is a cute gnome holding a sign for the garden. I wasn't planning on keeping him indoors, so the chalk board isn't important to me. I am instead using adhesive stickers with a personal message (name of my personal garden). ;) Colors are vibrant, he's got happy vibe and even more important he makes me and visitors to my garden laugh. Gnome is made of resin, hope he will last a good long while before needing to be repainted or replaced. Recommend.
