Q: Why didn't they come with instuctions? There are great pictures on Amazon but then they are just in a plastic bag when they arrive.

They just screw into a joists in the ceiling with the taper up, then you can slide the drywall over the taper. Hold the other side with one hand and you can screw the drywall up. They are a help when you work alone but nothing great.

Q: Can you use this to install plywood?

It will work on all sizes of plywood. But you do have to put a piece of ply on first before you can start using the Board mate.

Q: hi i need to hang 1/4" hardie backer 4x8ft sheets weigh 60 lbs each will these hold that weight??

They should without a problem. They will support atleast a 1/2" 4'x10' sheet of drywall
