Bridges To Babylon

On the one hand, I regret not getting the 90s Stones albums when they came out and now on the other I am enjoying discovering how great they really are. Thanks to their recent No Filter tour I needed explore more of The best Rock Band and boy am I not disappointed. The Don Was/Glimmer Twins production is of it’s time and timeless. A great flow starting with a punch up rocker Flip the Switch into a sublime Anyone Seen My Baby. The peak of Saint of Me and Out of Control shows The Stones evolved and taking their rightful place of the fully developed Masters of Rock. A lot nice variation with a fair amount of Richards songs with a good spectrum of sounds. It’s a classic and they are on top of their game. And the album flow sequence keeps it going without pause for a complete satisfied experience.

. Had a faulty disc skips on song #8. Missed my opportunity to replace it . My bad. Picked up a used cd for $4 so no problems

Full disclosure: Until July 28th I hadn't bought a recent Stones album in over 40 years. I listening to them a lot in the 70's. As I got older I found other groups and music to feed my ears, and just assumed that they no longer made good creative music, and just toured so sing the oldies. Eh. My Bad. Flash forward to July 27th where I'm watching them on stage in Houston. Great show! With many favorite tunes, and perhaps 4 or 5 songs that weren't familiar to either me or my wife, but we liked them anyways. The next day I took what I may have spent on 2 tour T-shirts and bought every album that I missed, which included this one. It's not a great album, but still very good. It hasn't left the CD drive in the car all week, but that's okay. I just have a lot of catching up to do.

Masterpiece from the Stones. Their the greatest Rock Band in the World.

Great album. The opener is the weakest song. Keith shines on this album. Mick writing his clever lyrics and phrasing beautifully. This album stacks up with their 1970's material IMO. Nicely pressed, Probably digitized in less than highest resolution but sounds clean on the vinyl.

When I first heard a relative was seeing the Rolling Stones I thought I'd see what was so good about them. This was the CD I bought. It lasted until l had to buy another one! I thank him for showing me the Rolling stones are a REAL band and a cool one. From his show I remember getting a few things and am still proud. When my CD went to where I couldn't play it, I bought the remastered one and was happier than ever. The sound was even better than in 97. As a joke I now have a sticker on my other one that says "For Display only".....This is one of my very favorite Stones CD's. I'd recommend it to anyone.
