Tried using it to increase speed of the internet of my Samsung Smart TV but it does not workused it for on my laptop- its ok

I bought this as it was fearured being used with a Sony tv.I have a Sony oled but unfortunately it can not pick up the Cable no matter what i do with it.Maybe i'm missing something in the TV settings, regardless the product works as it does show the illuminated lights but maybe i misunderstood it as a plug and play product.

After reading several other reviews and my husband researching everything we needed we picked this up, a Jadaol 5' CAT 6 cables and the Andtobo 2in1 Micro USB (OTG Cable w/power adapter) here on Amazon. No extra power supply was needed. Everything worked seamlessly and our steaming box has a working ethernet port pulling 150+ down. It was only pulling a 12 through wifi, made a huge difference.Edit: We have a total of 4 of these now, all working great. Only 1 was a dud and failed to get an internet connection. Had to return and get a replacement.
