How long is the refill? I need one that is 11.5 cm (4.5 inch) long.

It is the exact same as a standard Parker refill. 9.75 centimetres.

I've had awful problems with tip sizes on gels. Some mediums 0.7mm - are actually very broad. 0.5mm are very small and scratchy. What are yours?

From my experience there has been no scratching with this, it flows very easy and is a dream to write with. 10/10, recommended from me.
