So happy with this machine!
I’ve been making multiple loaves a week since the holidays. Here to say this bread machine has been performing beautifully! I’ve made several recipes in the book including cinnamon sugar bread and pizza dough. Everything has turned out great. I do take the dough out and bake in a regular oven. But the bread machine does all the mixing, kneading, and rising work for me. It’s so much fun. And it has been super easy and quick to clean.

My old breadmaker quit working
Well, it sort of worked, but seemed to be screwing up bread - like it would raise and then when cooking it would fall and just look awful. I don't really know what was happening - seems a heating coil regulator or something like that had gone wonky. I LOVE MY HOMEMADE BREAD AND HAD TO HAVE ANOTHER MACHINE!!! Yeah, yeah, I could go back to doing it manually, but I had gotten used to putting the ingredients in the pan of the bread maker and letting it make the bread. So...I had to find a good replacement and I did quite a search and looked through several bread makers before settling on this Cuisinart one. First, I had one of the original Cuisinart food processors that lasted me about 25-30 years before the plastic started showing too much wear and tear (some pieces cracked off) and even then I found one at a Goodwill store that was exactly like mine so I got more years out of it! I also have a Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker and during the summer, I have made some darn good ice cream in it! Now, back to this particular bread maker - it is Cuisinart, but I loved the little add-in ingredient drawer so that part is now "automated" should I want cinnamon swirl breakfast bread or spice and pumpkin seed bread as examples. My old bread maker's "menu window" that showed what I had programmed in was horrible! It had a sort of silver background with black lettering and the size of the loaf was nothing more than a DOT showing at the bottom of the screen! This bread maker has a bright, easy-to-read screen is so much better and I love that it has the "confirm" button as my old one was just basically start/stop. I love the ten beeps to let me take the dough out, remove the paddle, add the dough back and have bread with no paddle sticking out of the bottom. Last, is the way this one is more...horizontal instead of vertical if that makes sense. This Cuisinart bread maker has the bread "bucket" on the left-hand side where the old one had the menu in the front, the bread bucket in the back. I really didn't like that set up as I am shorter and trying to pull that bread bucket out was often more difficult when it was hot and I wanted to pull the bread to cool it off. So...this Cuisinart has several features as noted above that means I am going to be thrilled to make bread every week! OH, and if you have issues with bread makers and the lower bread sizes (not tall like the store-bought, air-puffed breads), follow your favorite bread maker yeast bread recipe BUT ADD IN a tablespoon of vital wheat gluten (used in vegetarian seitan and other vegan recipes to create meatless meat) for each one cup of flour called for in your bread recipe. I have scaled my addition of vital wheat gluten (and please keep it in your refrigerator) to 2/3rds or 2 Tablespoons of vital wheat gluten to 3 cups flour. You will find your bread rises really well and looks absolutely beautiful compared to store-bought puffed up bread! But in the end, this is my best-buy Cuisinart machine to date - it may be YOURS as well!

Best Bread Making Machine!
This is the best bread machine of all! I've tried a few and none compare. The bread pan easily twists into place. The settings and menu options work perfectly. It comes with a nice instruction book that has delicious recipes for every menu option.

Good breadmaker at this price point
This is my 3rd breadmaker and I have made 5 loaves of various types of bread in 3 weeks. So far I am pleased with the appliance. The control panel is very sensitive and I have found with the control panel located on the top right side when scraping the sides during various mixing and kneading if you lightly touch with your arm, the process stops and you must confirm and restart. It was more of an issue on my first loaf as I was not sure why it was happening, now it is a minor inconvenience. The tray for add ins, while it works properly, is very loud during that part of the process. Additionally it does not retract itself after it drops, if you do not want your bread deformed, you must push it back up when removing the paddle.

Bread Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Sourdough
The CBK-210 convection bread machine is my first bread machine. I have owned this model for a couple of months now, using it at least twice weekly. I was initially hesitant to buy it since it's a newer model, but my worries were put to rest after I baked my first loaf, which was super yummy. The machine is very easy to operate. I have enjoyed many of the recipes from the included booklet, but I also purchased a different bread machine recipe book (popular on Amazon) that has been great too. So far, I have yet to make a bad loaf, even when I didn't measure the ingredients exactly. I also experienced a power outage during my second bake and was surprised to find that the machine has a "memory recall" feature, allowing it to resume where it left off even after abruptly losing power. I can't imagine power interruptions happen often enough to bakers to necessitate such a feature, but it's cool nonetheless! Onto the possible cons. The machine is quite noisy when kneading, but I think that's normal for most bread machines. This is a convection bread machine, meaning it has fans to circulate the heat, but I'm honestly not sure how much that matters compared to regular bread machines, given the oven's small size. At least the fans are inaudible. I feel I may be paying a premium for something that may not really matter, but oh well. Compared to their cheaper model, this bread machine looks much more modern and is prettier on the counter. The pan handle is also somewhat annoying to grasp; the manufacturers even acknowledge this by providing a little tool to help catch the handle. I think they could have come up with a better design and eliminated the need for the tool. Lastly, the pan's bottom is a narrow shape and can easily tip over accidentally when filling with ingredients. I have to place the pan first in a small container to make it more balanced and less prone to tipping. It's a very minor annoyance, but another design aspect that I think could have been better thought out. Overall, it's been fantastic, and I'm healthier and saving money by not having to buy store-bought bread anymore.

This worked really well for us right out of the box. The flour loaves have been nicely formed and perfectly baked. We baked a gluten-free loaf which wasn't so well formed, but gluten-free baking is quite a challenge and we can't blame the machine. We haven't used the timer function. We used it twice to make sure it worked all right before giving it to our daughter for her birthday. She and her family have used it numerous times since, and are very happy with it.
