Good design for windy areas
I installed this antenna on the east end of my roof, pointing for reception toward Jacksonville. The broadcast antennas are about 45 miles away. As the photo I included shows, I kept the antenna low to the roof which causes it to have to receive signals through some tree line. Currently I am able to pick up all the major networks and many of the extra channels. Not all signals read high but even the signals with one or two bars showing give me a solid picture (4k 55" tv). One reason I picked this antenna, price, another was the design. We get wind storms, hurricanes and such and I felt this one could survive better than others. As of this writing, it has been up for several weeks and we have had one major wind storm. It did well, no problems. I kept the installation simple, the pole is 1 1/4" grey pvc (grey for the uv resistance). The attachment kit for the pole to the house I purchased at a local Lowe's. Yes, I cut the cable and this antenna has been great!

An excellent contender to be your OTA tv antenna
An easy to install antenna with very good reception qualities. Properly located, it will pull in signals in the 50 to 60 miles range range, and sometimes further. It may not be exactly multi-directional, but it does a very credible job of catching signals from the front and back of the antenna. That makes it a good candidate if you have tv towers located in roughly opposite directions. It doesn't seem to be a long distance, hard to get signal champ, but for most locations with fair to good signal quality, it is an effective means of grabbing a signal in a moderately priced, compact package. The performance of all antennas is location dependent. I installed two of these for elderly friends at two different locations within a few miles of each other. It was a dramatic improvement at one house and a just so-so performer at the other. The supplied amplifiers definitely helped with reception. Amplifiers can improve or undermine reception depending on your location so try it with and without. If called upon to do another installation for friend or family, I'd give this a first go because of its positives but keeping in mind that it often takes a bit of experimenting to get the right combination of antenna, amplifier, coaxial cable, etc. to get the optimum tv signal quality for a given location.

Not a multidirectional antenna.
This is not a multidirectional antenna, I bought it just for that purpose. The "amplifier" that came with it, did not make one bit of difference. I will be returning this antenna for sure.
