VXL-3s ESC Cooling Fan and Motor Dual Fan Set Compatible with Traxxas Slash 4x4 Stampede 4x4 Rustler 4x4 Hoss 4×4 Velineon VXL 3s Heat Sink, Blue

Needed a fan step up for my rally traxxas vxl.Since I put on the speed gear on it, don’t wanna overheat the motor. Works great, was easy to install. Drove it on dirt, snow and gravel and other terrain. The fans never had an issue. I suggest to remove them when doing a deep cleaning just in case.

The esc fan have a good amount of airflow the other 2 seem decent for the price , the esc fan is a bit loud but running it won’t matter , build quality of the item is pretty good for the esc part , the heatsink fits pretty snug on the motor , need to do a little bit of work when installing it but it fits really good on the Mini XRT

4 star only because splitter wire did not work. Ended up having to plug each fan separately. Not a big issueWorks great on my traxxas 4x4 vxl… before installing these fans my car would over heat if I run back to back 3s, now I can run back to back batteries and still touch the motor without it being too hot.. idk how this item has bad reviews.

Great product nothing bad to say about this item keeps everything u need to cool cooled and like the sound it reminds me of a computer tower that's cooling down

Motor heatsink doesn't fit well on slash with motor wires and driveshaft. Had to modify and shave. Fan occasionally sticks.

This item did not come with instructions... So after going on YouTube I figured out how to install it. First off you'll need to remove the motor and reposition it where the cables are down facing towards you as I have in the pictures. There are two screws mounting the plate to the motor, that's where you rotate it but make sure to leave screw hold on side uncovered. Then wire the dual fans using the supplied y-adapter. You'll run that to any available channel on your receiver. You'll need to remove the 4 screws to get to the receiver. In case you don't know that's where the other black red and white wires are going into. I plugged mine in below the LED channel 5. Then I reassembled everything and plugged in battery and powered on. The fans worked instantly.

Didnt realize this would come with an esc cooler but as I have the traxxas one installed in my rustler 4x4 vxl I didnt bother with it. I installed the motor heat sink and uh.. it isnt. This is a thermal insulator not a heat sink. I imagine the issue is the material thickness because it is significant but with this cooler installed I hit thermal protection real fast.I made no other changes when I set this up at first, but one of the fans was DOD. No big deal it was the one right over the heat sink so I just removed the other that really isnt doing anything anyway. Neither of the fans moved an appreciable amount of air but figured it wouldnt be a huge deal, I was wrong. I only made a handful of passes before hitting thermal protection, thinking that was weird I geared down to a smaller spur but could only run the truck with the body off, else thermal protection. In the end I went back up a gear and am running with the body on and this thing in the trash. Truck works great again.Do not waste your time and money on this. It does not cool the motor, it traps the heat.

exellent job on the cooling. my motor was over heating and the car would just stop, but now im good
