Maped Kidy Grip 30cm Ruler - Assorted

I work with a special needs child who finds using rulers tricky because they move about & the child doesn't have the dexterity to hold the ruler and draw a line. I've ordered two of these, and they are perfect for little hands. The rule is ridged underneath, so is more steady and less likely to wobble during use. The numbers are very clear and easy to see - perfect for counting, adding on, subtracting.Bizarrely, there is very limited choice when it comes to rulers, particularly for children with sight/dexterity issues, but this is a brilliant ruler and as it looks really good, the child loves it too. This was bought for a child with coordination difficulties who was finding it difficult using a standard ruler. The ruler is lovely with different textures and holes for the fingers to avoid the ruler slipping on the page , also the ruler looks funky so it doesn't stand out in the classroom meaning nobody needs to know of the child`s difficulties , all the children have wanted to use this ruler! . Result was child`s confidence and skills have improved. Would really recommend this product for any child to either use in the classroom or home

I bought this for a hemiplegic child to use in class and it is fantastic. They're able to use it easily, it doesn't slip on sheet paper or exercise books and if it's used on top of a grip mat anybody would struggle to push it out of position. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent ruler but inability to select colour is a major downside as I got a pink one for my son. Very poor considering most items allow you to select colour.
