This bacterial strain consistently fermented milk, indicating that it is viable and capable of functioning as a probiotic when consumed. In contrast, other strains I tested were not viable and failed to support fermentation. This experience highlights that dead probiotic cultures are frequently sold, making it important to verify viability. I appreciate that this product performed as expected.

Life Extension is a brand I trust and I decided to purchase their Bifido GI Balance after a GI MAP test recommended I take more bifido based probiotics. So naturally, I searched Amazon to see what was offered. I always tend to gravitate towards this brand because I have yet to be disappointed by their quality products.

I like this brand and strain, it's live and did successfully make a tangy fermented dairy product. I don't believe this strain should be fermented for 36 hrs but more around 20-24 hrs. Can Google and find good references for temperature and time.

Works as stated

I don't like to take those probiotics with multiple strains in them. Single strain probiotics, particularly the bifidobacterium ones, are hard to find. This is a good one. Works for me.

I rarely leave reviews, but I want to help people who may have experienced what felt like an MS attack as I did. My calf muscles were seized up, severe pain and my legs were weak, I couldn't walk very far...it came on suddenly after being hit with two days of extreme tiredness and 10 days after taking amoxicillin for a dental abscess. The emergency room, doctors, and a million blood tests and no one could help me. My legs were crippled and I was constantly dizzy. Just by chance this probiotic arrived in the mail and I took ONE capsule at bedtime .. 4 hours later I had extreme pain in my gut, gas (as though it killed something in my gut), and I could walk again! I was 80% better! This problem with my legs had gone on for 8 days, but it may have gone for years if I hadn't taken this strain of probiotic. For the dizziness, I was able to cure it within an hour with Tick Recovery and Biofilm by Samsara. I suspect what I have is lyme disease but also the potential beginning of ALS or MS, which I believe this probiotic saved my life by stopping the process! I also found it important to eat no gluten, a vegan keto diet (NO SUGAR), fermented foods, and I take Lactobacillus fermentum ME3, which does something also very important based on my observations, this probiotic is able to stop the minor cramps in my legs. When I added in raw aged red miso, it also killed something bad in my gut and I got even better. What I have would maybe be told I have is fibromyalgia/lyme disease but all of these disease are caused by infections, so the key would be to kill the infection, especially in the gut. If you have leaky gut, these things are getting into your brain. When I take Biofibrin and Monolaurian, my ears start ringing because it's killing the things in my brain which should not be there. My dad died of lewy body dementia, he probably also had infections in the brain, but medical doctors can't help any one with these diseases, you need to help yourself.
