How is it possible to use without the vent/vent hose?

i wouldn’t recommend using it with the the hose attached to the vent. Its really simple to use the hose is small and scrunches up so u can detach and scrunch it back up when ur done.

What is its noise rating?

It's not that loud AT ALL.. I have it in my RV and there is minimal noise and minimal shaking. LOVE IT :)
