Q: Is the color of the shower matt received different from the picture?

My daughter loves blue, hence why I bought it. This color is a little transparent blue, which we all like. I’ve had a lot of bath mats, and this one is my favorite! My feet feel good with it without it being too soft. It is shiny in appearance but not slick at all and stays in place perfectly. Love the color as well

Q: Will it stick to a tub surface that isn't perfectly smooth? My tub is manufactured with an anti-slip surface

I use it for my horrible smooth tub. (rental home) My wife is short and has to literally crawl out of the tub and kept slipping all the time getting in or getting out. It suctions perfectly well to the tub and prevents slipping. This is s a good-quality nonslip shower mat and worked well for her. I'm glad I got it. If your bathtub has any kind of anti-slip bumps or ridges, it may not work.

Q: Is this comfortable to sit down and take a bath on?

Standing on it is nice and doesn't shift around. I haven't tried to sit down on this mat. It's big enough for my walk-in shower and it is so comfortable to walk on with the bubbles. Great for non-slipping and soft on your feet. I purchased many other products, and this is by far the best for the price and function. And this nonslip shower floor mat is easy to clean either by hand or by washing machine.

Q: Is there a pungent chemical smell?

Has a little bit of a horrible smell when opened but goes away with a good nath. The suction works well very comfortable. Now I can feel safe standing to dry off or scrub down. I'm a Grandma & almost fell a couple of times so this really helped. Very durable
