Kikkerland Battery Morph Coffee Mug

Cute little mug, I ordered this one as a replacement for my last one that died after a trip through the dishwasher.This one holds a spot in my heart within my collection of mugs, mainly because of how much I love the simplicity and execution of the design. It's very reminiscent of the Legend of Zelda heart, though I suppose it could apply to any pixel heart design in gaming.Good mug, works like you'd expect it to. The color-change dye is rather responsive and resilient, so long as you keep it out of the dishwasher! Very important that doesn't happen, otherwise the dye gets overwhelmed and loses its color-change capability. Still, I won't fault this mug for that flaw since it was entirely my fault lol.Great gift, and great for coffee/tea/cocoa/whatever else. I sometimes like to use mugs for holding milk while I eat cookies. Good stuff.

I had purchased one of these before. Moved and it was broken. I found this exact replacement on Amazon and it was shipped and received in a timely manner. It did not have any chips or nicks in it. It was perfect and my wife loves it.

Sturdy, and thick-walled, but the thermal battery sticker is only about 1/2 as bright as in the picture

I don’t really have hot drinks other than coffee but I use a big mug. I did not know that in order to see the picture you need to use a hot drink.

After receiving "Kikkerland Pixel Heart Morphing Mug" product, I was elated, but I quickly discover the item I had ordered was not the one I had received.The box I received was not the same box as advertised. There was not any mention of Kikkerland, or any subsidiaries if there are any, on the box or on the product itself. In addition, the symbol on the side of the mug was a heart, but again it fell short of it's advertisement. The heart on the mug in the Amazon picture of the mug has a black outline around the heart; the product I received did not. This may not seem like a huge difference, but most people who have played an 8 bit game with hearts in it, The Legend of Zelda, The Binding of Issac, etc., would tell you that the outline is almost as iconic as the heart contained within it.I am extremely disappointed with the product I received, but it should not deter you from ordering the product I had intended to purchase. At the end of the day, it still holds coffee and the heart changes to a nostalgic red when a hot beverage is poured into it.

Not disappointed at all. this mug is pretty stinkin' adorable and definitely made me smile when i filled it with some boiling hot water for my tea.i know, i know, its a just mug with a sticker on it... what are you expecting? magic? some amazing NASA s***? its 10 bucks, folks. didn't you have a hypercolor t-shirt growing up? it's just fun. If this doesn't make you smile (at the very least) when full of hot tea/coffee to start your day then your expectations in life are far too high... you should probably reevaluate some things... and start with buying this mug!

I was looking for a present for my boyfriend, who is an avid tea drinker, for Valentine's Day. However, I was skeptical. I couldn't believe that the mug would actually turn colors. When the mug arrived, I immediately tested it out. It changed right before my eyes and I was so pleased! I almost wanted to keep it for myself. (I just might buy myself one too). He's also a gamer, so the pixelated heart is a nice fit. It's a little pricey, but well worth it! This mug is an adorable way to show your love for someone (or yourself!).

I have zero complaints about this mug. I bought it for my gamer boyfriend who loves Legend of Zelda as 4 year anniversary present. The first time we added hot liquid it kind of turned maroon colored and I was slightly disappointed, but that was just hot tap water. The next day I poured hot coffee into it and it filled up the heart bright red. My boyfriend loves it!Just be careful washing it: no dishwasher, no harsh chemicals. I use Dawn dish soap and a washcloth and it's perfectly clean and protected.
