Remarkable little amp
Bought this for my study, with a 32V power supply, to drive a couple of small, 6 Ohm, Quad desktop speakers. The foot print is perfect for a desktop (it has replaced a full size integrated amp and leaves me a lot more space). Seems very well put together, suitably weighty, nice heavy case. I like the logarithmic volume pot, it works very well in this application, although I see that some other people don't. The power LED is bright enough to see, but not distracting. I find it is very nice to listen to, good detail, pleasantly lively. I'm quite fussy about audio gear and wasn't sure whether I'd like this, but I am impressed. Sound quality is remarkable, given the small size and the very reasonable price. I might even treat myself to an orange volume knob for it.

A great little, powerful, Hi-Fi quality amp, that really packs a punch!
I bought this class-D amplifier, mainly as a backup for my 340W per channel power amp. Needless to say, conventional amplifiers of this type are very heavy and designed for rack mounting, whereas this little Fosi Audio amp, fits in the palm of your hand, and is as light as a feather, by comparison. It came with a 5A, 48V, power supply, however, if you want to get the full output (300W into 4 ohms), then you should consider purchasing the amplifier and a 10A, 48V power supply separately. But don’t worry, even with the 5A power supply, it still chucks out around 200W, with a good frequency response and some gut-thumping bass. And, as you probably know, sound is logarithmic… i.e. for a noticeable increase in volume you need to double the output, so this is still a good deal, and the quality of sound is pretty darn good. This is a very portable, no-frills power amp, that you can either use in conjunction with a mixer, as a PA, or simply connect it to your phone or laptop and enjoy the music! 😊 Highly recommended.

Amazing sound but lacks an important feature
I can't compare this amp with any other products in the same class D amp category, there might be a better performing amp for this price. I first tried it with my big Tannoy Cheviots but this was obviously asking too much for the little V3 to bare. However when I hooked it up to my Tannoy Revoutions, the full potential was immediate. As a nearfield amp, it works perfectly well. The makers have not correctly labeled the pre-out socket. This is in fact, a fixed line level out. This is only useful for connecting to a recording device or maybe to another amp that has its own volume control. So if you want to use this unit to power a subwoofer, you will always be adjusting the volumes to match each other. Just as a stand alone amp, paired with the right speakers I doubt if anything beats the price

Excellent Amplifer! Very musical results far beyond its price
An amazing amplifier given its size and price point.Properly set up, run in for 24 hours and with a decent Hi-Res Audio signal input, decent cables and suitable speakers and it makes music. The sound is very clean and detailed with no harshness or sibilance. The flat signal response reveals a lot of detail in the music. Not weighted to either end of the frequency range. Very dynamic, good fast attack on solo piano - always a difficult one to project realistically. Not a sound that is aggressive or wearing to listen to.Choosing matching components to provide a balanced system is important, so give it an MP3 input signal you get what you get - medium results, not Hi-Fi.As always one is listening to the system, not individual components. System matching very much matters to the tonal colour especially with cables and speakers. Certainly changing the speakers to +£1000 Spendor, Monitor Audio, Mission etc would unbalance the system and reveal some short-comings - but that would be to use this amplifier far outside its scope of system. One comment I see on several other reviews is the volume control level position ... In my opinion, this knob should be pulled off and set to the 6 o'clock position with the amplifier off (a bit like some older Naim units). Them when the unit is turned on, the volume control rate and progression are correct, in comparison with most expectations with minimum volume around 7 and 10 - 11 being a fair listening level. The 48v PSU now supplied with the unit is capable of providing the dynamic transient peaks without strain, providing adequate reserves and control to avoid 'smearing' of fast pieces and allow quiet passages to feel realistically contrasted with a wide dynamic range. The simplicity of single input and dispensing with tone controls means fewer sound compromises, and gives a superb perfomance far above the expected quality at this price. Enabling you to stop spending more cash on Hi-Fi and spend more on the music itself.Very enjoyable music-making and Very Recommended!

Small but mighty D-class amplifier
Well built. High quality components. Easily drives a pair of 8 Ohm tower speakers to loud levels without perceptible distortion. Volume control is tapered (logarithmic), not linear, so if you want to crank up the sound you should not be afraid to turn it up close to maximum. That is how it is designed (to give you most precise control over the lower to mid range volumes) but needs getting used to. Overall this is the best value amplifier I have ever bought. If you need more inputs/outputs, a remote control and tone controls, this is not for you but if you simply want to amplify a single signal source, with high fidelity and no appreciable distortion, to listen with passive speakers then this is the one to buy!

Great amp
I neeeded an amp to use for extra speaker sin my system and laso one for dual transducers for bass rumbles. I got 2 Fosi ampsfor each task. Botht he amps have worked well adn are really affordable. The power rating needs a bit of reseach though but I didn't have to be too critcal for the aplications I was using. The sound clarity on the amps are pretty reasonable and give good sound reproduction.I did find that I need to source the larger power packs though to get the most out of these amps adn so eoither buy witht 48 volt pack or factor as a likely extra dependant on your needs.
