This book is more about making money from your web site than how to build a WordPress based platform. It does talk a bit about WordPress platform, but it is not what the majority of the book is about. The WordPress section has a high level discussion about setting up WordPress.org (i.e WordPress platform that does not offer free hosting). It does not have a lot screen shots and there are better books about WordPress set up and configuration. The high level overview of various methods to make passive income from your web site is educational and how to drive traffic to your web site are interesting, just not what I expected based on the title.I purchased this book in 2017. This book was written in 2015, but most of the content is still relevant in 2015.The author references a lot of supplemental material, each page in the book contains multiple links to his own website. This is a common but annoying trend for some ebooks, where the author wants to obtain the reader's email address in exchange for extra information. This means in exchange for additional information one has to put up with a lot of extra emails from the various authors where the content varies (some useful, some not useful, but all trying to sell you something else). Use a special email account when signing up for these lists to help you control the email volume.Ali Julia review

This book is no longer useful for most people. Google changed its policy and now it does not accept all websites that want to be listed. There is no guarantee that the website a person creates will be listed there. But, more importantly, the author references You Tube videos to show how to create the websites and these videos have all been removed from that website. Thus, much of what the author indicates is explained in the videos remains unexplained because the videos are no longer there. Furthermore, I bought the author's other book, "How to make money online" and this book is merely a copy and paste of that other book - no added useful information.

I purchased this book as a complete Wordpress novice, because I committed to building a website for a client. However, this book didn't make me any more knowledgeable then I was before I read the book, and that was disappointing to me as it seemed that much of the tutorial was available by simply pressing buttons on the Wordpress site itself.I was looking for ways to size the logo that I was having issues with, ways to build a site from scratch rather then using the premade templates Wordpress offers, and most importantly for me, ways to add radio buttons to lead to further information about the client. To date I still haven't built the site although I purchased this book last year, and I'm still in search of a book that will provide me with the detailed information I need.Although this might be a great introduction to Wordpress, it is not detailed enough to make it possible to build a comprehensive website from scratch.

This is a good book, plain and simple. Prior to reading this book, I had never heard of Mike Omar and pretty much expected just another marginal WordPress how-to guide. But as soon as I started reading, I could tell this guy knew what the hell he was talking about. Like the other WordPress guides, Mike starts by recommending specific domain registrar and web hosting companies and shows you how to set up your first webpage with your first "Hello world" post. That's pretty much standard with all WordPress guides. But he doesn't just stop there like numerous others do, he also provides very clear and precise instructions on how to choose themes, add pages, links, pictures, plugins, contact forms, "buy now" buttons and more. In other words the nuts and bolts of creating REAL, functioning websites that you can make money with.Mike also provides numerous examples of how it's done in the real world with links to high quality videos where he demonstrates click by click everything he teaches. It's obvious Mike Omar walks the walk and he does in fact show you How To Make A Website Or Blog With WordPress Without Coding...

Wow! If you've been thinking about making a website or blog, this book is for you. It's quite detailed and it takes you from the very beginning (buying a domain name) to the end product of having a website or blog that you can use to make money with.Like I said, I found this book to be very detailed and not only does it teach you the technical details of buying a domain, getting a hosting account, and building the website, it goes into how you can use that website to develop a source of online income.I highly recommend this eBook to anyone who is ready to build their first website!

As a new Affiliate Marketer, I was looking for a book to learn more about how to write successful blogs. I ordered Mike Omar's "How To Start A Blog That People Will Read". I found that book a very good source of information, so I decided to order all other Mike's books, including this book," How To Make A Website Or Blog Without Coding Using Wordpress". I highly recommend this book as well as all Mike's other books. The author is knowledgeable, honest and his primary goal is to pass on his knowledge and expertise to his readers, so they can create their own websites. Mike uses a clear, easy to understand and easy to follow writing style, which enables readers to create a website or write a blog in a short, yet very effective way. I follow his teachings on his website and youtube videos as well. All his books are great sources of information and reasonably priced.

I almost did not purchase this book after reading several one and two star reviews but I am glad I did as it really does go through the whole process of setting up a website - at least it does if you go to the many links provided to watch the author's video training sessions. It fits my needs very well and I recommend it to rank beginners like me. Just be aware that to get the full benefit from the book you need to follow the many links to the author' straining videos.

I would not recommend this for the reader who really wants to learn more, build a site using Wordpress - the actual support and tutorials on Wordpress have much more to offer. If you want to hire the author then ou will be able to find reference to how to get to his site on every other page of this book. I wondered if the book had been written to generate more clicks for his site, and make more money? I did not feel that I came away knowing more...

I had heard of Wordpress, but did not really understand it. Installed it on my website and then read this book to get some idea on how to use it. Easy to understand, I got the site up and running in a few hours. Fully customised it and reworked the whole site in a few weeks to my taste. Great starting point, not too complex but not too detailed either.

As someone who builds websites for a living, I am frequently asked what is the easiest way to make a website. I purchased this book for my sister as she wanted to set up her own fashion blog.This book has served as a great reference for when she is stuck and it has guided her through all the basic steps from registering domain names, setting up hosting to picking out a blog design along with some of the more technical wordpress aspects such as setting up posts, pages and permalinks.

Thanks to Mike I attained the confidence to investigate Web design and found this book informative and the resources contained within it useful. WordPress is an amazing tool and without this book I'd have been lost.

I was looking to create a new website and had heard bits and pieces about Wordpress. This book explained it all clearly and concisely - it's easy to follow and I had my first Wordpress website up and running in a few hours. An excellent introduction to Wordpress.

I would like to see this book sold with How to Make Money Online and How to Start a Blog as a package. They really fit together and do overlap quite a bit. I have read all 3 but just flew through repetitive portions.
