They control don't work beyond 2 feet
I have to get up and go very close to the receiver for it to work

Poor Connection strip compatibility
And your initial strip will probably work fine, and has countless DIY color creation possibilities.NOTE: if you connect 2 strips by cutting along the guided cut lines, the second strip colors do not like up, work well, nor stay connected to the original strip. Poor quality. Frustrating installation for larger (round room space).If you only want to work with a 12 or 24 foot strip, probably fine.But beware as soon as you need to make a connection. Sad child after multiple days, multiple adults attempts.
