Simple but effective.
Working principle is actually very simple but effective . It just keeps boiling water. This avoids any health issue that shows up on other models. However, you need to clean the sink once in a while or it will block the gap.

Very Disappointing
Received an old humidifier that has lots of disgusting dirt-like residues in it. Definitely going to return this thing.

Easy to use and clean
We have had ours now for 3 or 4 years. Year after year it has worked flawlessly. Simple and easy to clean and disassemble. We burn wood for heat and the air gets very dry. This is the best humidifier we have ever owned. Worth the purchase price!

Great humidifier
I have 2 of these and they are the best I've had so far. I'm on my 3rd winter with them and never a problem. I have hard water so I clean them every 3 - 4 days. I drain the tank and let cool. Then pour some white distilled vinegar in the element area. I let soak anywhere from 3 hours to overnight. They don't need more than 3 hours but sometimes I'm good without them for a short time. I really recommend them. The price has gone up at least $20 (Amazon) since I bought mine but I got mine at Walmart.

Perfect for a 1200/1500 sq. ft. Home!
Perfect! Was looking for a warming humidifier and this one is by far the best I’ve ever used before! It’s quite and effective. Had it on high for 24hr. When I plugged it in my humidify was at 35%. 24hr later it’s 53%. My 1300 sq. 3 bed, single story home. Placed it in the living room and the furnace pulls it in and distributes the humidified air through the rest of the house. The Design is just fine, it’s a warm mist only.. you only need two settings tbh. It’s the best option for the money. I’m glad I picked it up!

Needs a third setting
This works pretty well and having a top fill option instead of having to lug around a dripping water tank is a huge improvement over most humidifiers. The warm mist does not leave that white film everywhere. To clean it, you have to empty it completely (the tank does not detach) then reach in and remove some pieces, then try to clean the heating element at the bottom of the unit (not removable). So far this is working but as it gets more hard water residue I can see it becoming an issue since it's hard to access. My main issue is there is a high setting and a low setting and that's it. If I turn on the high setting before bed, the entire tank is empty when I wake up ~8 hours later. If I use the low setting, not even half the water will be used. I'd really like an option in between to get more moisture in the air without it running out in the middle of the night. The high setting is also too loud, I have no issue with the noise level on low.

Pros: works very well - it elevated the humidity in my ~750sf apartment in a couple of hours from 29% to 46%. Once the initial few minutes of water boiling is done upon start up, it is essentially silent running. It is very easy to fill, simply pour water into the top without even opening the lid. The settings are simple: low, high, or off. There's only one tiny green light to indicate it is turned on, which could be covered if you want complete darkness (unlike other brands/models with tons of lights that don't turn off). It generates a refreshing steam into the air that feels spa like if you hover over it, which would feel very nice if you are sick or congested. The design is sleek and clean appearing - white container, decent size (not too big). The cord is nice and long, so gives you lots of options of where to plug it in. Cons: it would be a plus if you could set a humidity level that it adheres to. You do have to manually turn it on/off rather than this being a built in feature. Tip: I had a previous version of this humidifier and it worked great. I didn't realize that you should use some sort of water purifier (drops or floats inside) though to prevent the mineral buildup inside. Some reviewers have posted photos of the mineral build up. It's easier to prevent it before it occurs, but it can be cleaned if it happens, with some effort. I liked the last one I had which I accidentally broke, I believe by not cleaning it properly, but also spilling water into the compartment that water shouldn't go into. This is why I bought this brand again. I tried an ultrasonic humidifier of a different brand and had to return it as it really did not work at all. There is a review showing someone's sparking which initially made me nervous to repurchase, however, I think that's a risk with any of these devices - you just have to be cautious not to spill water into the area that says no water and you should be safe and alright.

I have been using this humidifier for 2 month now and I like the efficiency of it. In the cold winter climate I reside in, the warm humidity is welcome and it works nicely in the house. What users need to know is that it requires weekly cleaning with vinegar, depending, of course on the mineral content of your water. Red light automatically comes on when mineral clogs the heating element, but it is easy to clean with a toothbrush and it does the job well with vinegar. I know the warm humidity air is clean and healthy. It looks like it is a lot of maintenance but I much prefer a warm mist humidifier than the cool mist ones which tend to irritate my lungs and cause coughing. Cool mist humidifiers also leaves white dust in the air that lands everywhere in the house, while warm mist doesn't do that. I also noticed the importance of not leaving extra water into the heating element part of the humidifier. I did it by accident once and I see that it is can perhaps cause an overheating problem in the circuits. Water is meant to go ONLY in the reservoir tank. I thought it would be helpful information for others that read this. In conclusion, I truly like this humidifier, but be aware of its maintenance if you want great results.

This is my favourite humidifier. It is easy to clean, and very easy to fill as it is a top-load model. I fill a jug with water and walk to the humidifier to pour it in - it takes 2-3 jugs of water, depending on how low the level gets. I love the auto-shut off feature, it has come in handy on a few occasions when we forget to shut it off (as it is very quiet when running!) We have very hard water so I clean it weekly with diluted white vinegar to prevent it from getting very bad buildup. I use tap water because it would be far too expensive to run it with distilled water- if you run it on the high setting, you will need to fill it a couple of times each day. I do not find white dust on surfaces, as some people complain about with using tap water in humidifiers. I love the essential oil reservoir, I often put a couple of drops of lemongrass oil in some water, if we have been cooking a lot and don’t like the smell. It makes my home smell like a spa! I highly recommend this item.

The best part about this is it boils water using resistive heating and the vapor is sterilized. It can use any water including tap, but need to be descaled like a kettle with tap. It starts running fast. There's no need to add minerals if your water is soft like you do with an electrode heated humidifier from Vicks. Top fill is handy. Now the not so great. It's basically a big plastic trash bin. It's difficult to move because it doesn't have anywhere to grab. It's difficult to clean because the heating element is at the bottom. Rinsing it is annoying because you have to grab this massive bin along with the cable and the cable can't be removed. The size of the humidifier is very deceiving because half of it inside is empty and holds a "mist chimney". It would've been able to hold a lot more water if they found a way to put the heating element high up, but I think they lower it reduce the risk of burns and funnel the vapor thru a chimney. Because there's so much empty space, the humidifier is pretty loud. Finally, all internals are plastic. They really could have made the boiling chamber stainless steel but they didn't. Everything feels clunky in the design but resistive heating is probably the best type of humidifier on the market.
