K&N Cold Air Intake System: High-Flow Air Filter, Increase Performance & Acceleration: Compatible with 2016-2021 HONDA: Civic, 63-3516

Easy install. I did it with simple hand-tools and it took me about an hour and a half to install by myself. I never installed any intake before, so I’d say it’s super easy. The hardest part was literally taking off one bolt that held the old intake down, but it would’ve been easier if I had a longer ratchet extension. The motor looks cooler, sounds insanely better, and performs better. I instantly noticed the turbo is able to deliver boost a lot faster, almost instantly. Also the gas mileage is even better. This is a win-win upgrade.

I’ve only ever heard good things about this air intake & it precedes its reputation! I originally only hair a muffler & resonator delete so my car was already loud. Without saying this made the sound better and the performance is better. The quality is good, the price is great compared to other, and it adds some color under the hood. It was a also a quick installation and fits perfectly fine.

Do not buy this product and do not let anyone else buy it, the vehicle does not accept it.

Does everything Id expect a high end CAI to do. Install was simple enough, worst part would be needing an extension to get to the 2 bolts for removing the old airbox. MAKE SURE to disconnect the negative battery terminal for a bit, this way the ECU needs to relearn and adjust to this or it'll throw codes. Driving definitively feels snappier on the throttle, power is there, and after week of driving my average MPG of 33-35 went to around 37-38. Could just be old filter was a bit dirty too when I saw it after. The sound is pretty great, could barley hear the turbo before, but now opening up the throttle it is loud and apparent. More of throaty motor noise too. As for value, its up to you if 10-12 hp/torque/better mpg is worth $300 to you.

Le hice una pequeña modificación en la entrada del sensor ya que le estaba entrado aire por esa zona y lo sellé con silicona les recomiendo que si lo compran le hagan lo mismo y quiten la goma que viene ahí para que selle mejor y quitar las 4 patas que vienen en la tapa yo se las corté para que quedara bien , por lo demás todo bien más potencia a mi honda civic y mejor sonido de motor

Drastically improved acceleration on my 2017 Civic Sport. I have the CVT transmission and it still sounds great especially when doing a small pull off a stop light or something. Great growl sound and big whoosh when you let off the throttle at about 4000-5000 rpm’s

did not come with the air filter. nor a size guide yo buy the right one.

Although I though that K&N was overcharging for this intake, it does everything a performance intake system is supposed to do. Better engine sound, you can hear the turbo, it increases acceleration (You will feel a difference!), and will eventually provide even better full economy (when you're not mashing the gas). Some people say that these do nothing for fuel economy, that is false. This is my 4th K&N intake system and the first three I have found that it takes about 500 miles for the computer to accurately state the MPG. Don't expect anything major, probably 1 or 2 mpg. Update 9/7/2020: After moving to Florida I noticed the intake began to heat soak when as my IAT's were above what the stock airbox was. I quickly realized that this intake had zero benefit in hot weather and I decided to sell it. Still enjoyed the intake and would've kept it if I was still in Indiana but living in Florida I will be buying the 27Won Hybrid CAI to lower my IAT's.

A superbly easy kit to fit. The instructions were comprehensive and well illustrated. And this resulted in a noticeable increase in acceleration, with the nice benefit of some ‘growl’ when you put your foot down. A highly recommended upgrade.

I wish I had bought this ages ago. I had a regular k&n filter in the factory air box for about 240,000km thinking it was great. I decided I would start tinkering with the car and after installing the cold air intake, I immediately noticed a more throaty sound, louder turbo and blow off from about 2000rpm onwards when accelerating. Without even a new map, the power band has smoothed out very nicely and pulls noticeably better past 4000rpm. It is also way more responsive, has less turbo lag/quicker spooling between shifts, and about 1 liter/100km of better fuel economy so far. Highly recommend as a great value to compliment any other mods and to get your civics turbo breathing freely.
