This should work with most of the ports filters. This is an amazing product and I am not for sure how I lived without it

It is a separate accessory designed to work on its own. Should work with any espresso machine.

Will it work on counter with decorative edge as opposed to straight, perfectly square edged counter?

I rally won't know because I have not Sean these decorative edge that you are talking atout. My suggestion is that more likely you can use it bit remember not to tap to the edge when dispose of the used coffee. If you remember this than it will work fine.

Is it dishwasher safe?

I would think so bu I just rinse mine off - no really reason to put it in the dishwasher.
