Work of Art
High Sierra's Solid Metal Handheld Shower Head with Trickle Valve, 2.0 GPM - Stunning Chrome Finish:This thing is a work of art. You know immediately when you pick it up that you've bought something special. It doesn't look like anything else. It doesn't feel like anything else. This is a beast. It is solid metal and it weighs quite a lot, although it is very well balanced in the hand. What's more, even though it weighs more than the big shower head I had, it does not tilt down under its own weight.Flow. I bought the 2.0 GPM because we have lost some water pressure locally and I didn't want to lose any more. But it turns out, I might not have needed all of that. This is a little different than what you're probably used to. It just blows water out at you in what might seem like random spray - as opposed to the well organized streams of a typical shower head. At first I felt a little lack of enthusiasm for this, mostly because I'd never had it like this before. So I got in. I was immediately soaked. I was impressed. As my shower went on, I put my face right underneath it and it seemed a little intense. That's when I discovered the beauty of the Trickle Valve!I gave the Trickle Valve so little thought because every single similar valve in any shower head I've owned in the past has leaked. It's been a hard 'switch' type feature that never really worked well enough to ever use, and so I was used to ignoring them. So imagine my surprise and delight when I pushed this one and found that it was a highly effective valve that gradually shut the water to off! Seriously! I now have the shower head running at somewhere between 1/2 and 1/3 capacity and it stays there, firmly. I just reduced the flow until it felt good on my face (probably 3" from the head) and left it! And that feels like it will be enough for my entire shower. There are some things that will take some getting used to. First of all, this shower head is kind of loud. Now I might be a little more sensitive than most because I work with audio for a living, but it is definitely louder than any other shower head I've had. It's a constant SSHHHHHH like the sound of someone shushing - not like water. This I believe is an aerator effect and what is interesting is when I stuck my finger into the end of it, it completely changed the output. I could actually tell how low the flow was and the sound stopped but was right back to normal when I removed my finger.Secondly, the 'chaotic' presentation of the water. When you've only ever known organized streams of water, to have this comparatively wild thrust of water gives me the sense that a mess is imminent. It is not and I think I can get use to that.Neither of these things is a deal breaker and not enough to take away a star, especially when you put it in your hand and feel the quality craftsmanship. Built in USA. Great job folks! Thank you! Sure, it costs a little more, but I really don't mind. You get what you pay for.

Handle only! You will need a hose and mounting apparatus, which are offered separately.
It's worth it! I have two High Sierra shower heads now, and they are wonderful! I had a low flow unit in my shower, and it was difficult to wash my hair...it took FOREVER! These shower heads and hand units are like standing under a waterfall!. I have the 1.5 gpm and the 2.0 gpm. If you have a smaller hot water tank, the hot water goes quickly, so plan accordingly! If you have a tankless unit, then cest la vie! Yes, I would buy again, and recommend to all!

Quality
It's good, unfortunately a little louder than other sprayers but that's to be expected. It's great quality and feels awesome in the hand.

Water pressure feels good, shape is awkward. Trickle Valve depends on your plumbing
The water flow feels good for a low-flow head. The shape is a bit awkward since it is shorter than the other handheld shower heads-- the result is that I have to stoop under this one when it's in the same holder. The trickle valve blocks the flow, but the first time I used it, it would not turn off, so I couldn't get the water back on. The head had to be disassembled to unclog it. Not clear where the thing that blocked it came from, but the seller was very responsive and told me how to take it apart and offered to replace it if I didn't want to try that.In summary, though, I really like this shower head. I'm probably going to buy another for the kids' shower, and I'm recommending this to my friends and family. The water flow really does work well. It's not quite as powerful as the old-old-style with no restrictors, but it's way better than most low-flow ones I've tried. And the water savings is amazing!

HIGHLY effective water use reduction device (great for Californians, or any who appreciate conserving our natural resources)
Water pressure is great, and I have very thick hair. This will help us reach, if not surpass, our 30% water use reduction mandate here in CA. This is likely the single most effective (and quick) fix we can make, indoors. The trickle feature is what is going to offer the greatest impact, although the 1.5 GPM is also going to be a great help. You do need to purchase your hose and holder separate, this purchase is ONLY the head. Our next step is to locate a water recirculator to eliminate the waste of water while running the faucet to await arrival of the hot water in our distant bathrooms. This is also offered in a fixed head, for those that don't have the hand held set up.
