Not the fastest SSD round the block but a great price
Not the fastest SSD round the block but a great price. it has certainly given an old Toshiba laptop a new lease of life and boots up it up quickly and made it very usable again.

Fast & cheap SSD
I got this to replace an old spinning HDD as the boot drive for a Windows 10 PC. It has transformed the boot times from minutes to 10-20 seconds. This was the 480GB drive and it was very reasonably priced. There’s no doubt these drives may not be the ultimate in performance but they work great and they won’t break the bank. Highly recommended.

Value for money, quick, intrusive management software agreement
The MSI Spatium M482 seems like a long-time coming to the UK. At Amazon's launch price, it's excellent value for a PCIe M.2 of this speed. I installed it on a fast self-build to store Acronis back up images. The Spatium SSD arrived as MBR , and converting it to GPT kept raising "corrupted GPT header" messages. In the end, I installed it in an external enclosure to convert it to GPT. Once it was back in the computer, it started slowly storing the Acronis image and then got into it's stride, dropping back as it came towards the end of the backup. There was no mention of management or backup software in the enclosed paperwork, but I found it - MSI Center - on the main site. As well as software management, there is a backup facility. However, the User Agreement gave MSI carte blanche with my data, so I uninstalled it, and deducted one star from this review. Perhaps when MSI Center is launched in the UK and Europe, it will have a better approach to data privacy. Until then, it is an excellent SSD spoilt by the lack of privacy in its management software.

DRAMless but does the job & cheaper than comparible speed NVMe's
I found this to be a great priced NVMe (56.99) and also has great read/write speeds. The only downside is that if you do a bit of research it is DRAM-less..But for the price and speeds of NVMe's 20-30 higher on sale, it should be all you need and with most systems having much more RAM than they need anyway, it isn't much of a compromise.

Great Value SSD
Tremendous value for this spec SSD, most of my computers now use the newer and faster NVME drives but they cost so much more, for my older machine used for Linux this bargain drive is ideal and works surprisingly well. Highly recommend for those still using this type of drive, I've actually bought two now and am very happy with both.
