GENUINELY works, exactly as described. Compact, quick to charge.
I was skeptical, but figured I can return it if doesn't work. But, before I placed the order, I did some research and found that sure enough, heat in the range of about 120-125 degrees F will denature the enzymes in the saliva of a mosquito and several other insects. It's the enzymes that cause the itching. Denaturing them stops the itching, almost instantly. I had several itchy bites on my legs and arms, and right after reading the manual, plugging it in and charging for about 15 minutes until the light turned green, I then gave it my first try using the lower temp setting. There was no pain. Just a hot spot sensation for about 10 seconds or so, and the itching started to subside. I did it again three or four times on the same spot, and the itching went away entirely within another minute or so. Success! Now, try the higher temp option. Definitely more noticeable, and almost stings, but not badly, but more importantly, the itching went asway faster, and only took one or two applications, depending on how big the bite mark appeared to be. The blue lights help to see where to apply it, but it's still a bit tricky on parts of the body you can't see easily, such as the sides of my lower calves. However, the couple times I think I did miss the mark, there was no harm caused. No red mark. No burn. No pain. I am sure some people are more sensitive to heat and may get redness or even a mild 1st degree burn (like a mild sunburn) if they aren't careful. Incidentally, I have very light colored northern skin as my heritage is Northern French, German, Scandinavian, and Scottish

Can’t live without
Best gadget ever! Mosquitos love me and before this, I couldn’t stop scratching and leaving unsightly scars on my skin - which I hated. This thing has changed my entire outlook on mosquito bites. As soon as I discover a bite, I just zap it once (or twice) and the treatment is so effective that I can forget about the bite for days! So easy! No more annoying itching and chemicals that don’t work. Just don’t overdo it because although the heat feels “safe”, this little thing WILL burn and blister your skin!

This thing WORKS!!!
This thing WORKS! Why isn’t this more common knowledge that heat kills mosquito bites?!?! It doesn’t just temporarily take the itch away from mosquito bites, it stops the itch permanently & the bites go away way faster! I’ve used it multiple times on mosquito bites & it’s instant relief & not just on fresh bites, on bites that are a couple days old! The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is I wish the heating plate was a bit larger. It’s pretty small so sometimes it’s hard to get it lined up perfectly with the bite when you can’t see the bite that well (backs of legs & arms, etc). On some bites I have to use it a couple times, but that’s fine since it only takes a few seconds & it’s kind of addicting 😄. It does get hot & depending on how sensitive the area is you’re using it on, just when you think you might burn it shuts off automatically. If it hurts too much for those couple seconds, just take it off & then use it again on the lower setting. I’ve told all my friends & family about this thing. I’m thrilled I found it!!! It’s so small I can take it anywhere too.

To My Fellow Sufferers (You Know Who You Are)
As someone who has long been the filet mignon of the mosquito world, I am not just another warm body in the crowd. No, I am the caviar of Homo sapiens—a rare delicacy that mosquitoes can’t resist. For my entire time on this planet, i have had to accept the reality that, in a room of a million people, that one rogue mosquito will always find me. And only me. And I don’t just get those little bites that everyone else gets. I get mounds of swollen, red mountains when I’m bitten by a mosquito that are just as painful as they are itchy, and they take forever to heal. Enter this electronic bug bite zapper, the hero I never knew I needed. This ingenious little gadget promises to put a halt to the itching and swelling caused by my tiny winged fans by zapping away the histamine reaction. At first, I was really skeptical. Could anything really save me from being the unwitting blood bank that I’ve been for so long? Before it even arrived, I’m afraid I was already chalking it up to another futile attempt to do something about my lifelong bite problem. I’d just have to go back to ice packs and suffering. Well, let me tell you, this device is nothing short of a miracle. Gone are the days of scratching myself like a flea-ridden stray dog. With a quick zap, I can now silence my body’s overzealous reaction to mosquito bites. It's like giving a stern "talk to the hand" gesture to my body’s histamine response. The zapper is easy to use and feels like a gentle reminder to my skin that there’s no need to panic. No more sleepless nights of tossing and turning, trying to find the perfect spot on the bed where the sheets don’t rub against a fresh bite. I can finally wear shorts without looking like I’ve been caught in a hailstorm of bites. In summary, this zapper has changed my life. Oh, I still get bites, and I still wish for mosquitos to all perish from the earth after suffering a long, slow, painful death, but with this little guy in my pocket, they only itch for 10 seconds then POOF! No more itching. Also, it hurts so good, if you know what I mean. To the people who complain about it being too hot: if you can’t handle 5 seconds of heat therapy, you clearly aren’t experiencing the same reactions as me. This product is a godsend.

Instant relief for mosquito allergies
Because they are a relatively new invasive species, I was never exposed to Asian Tiger mosquitoes in the '50's and '60's when I was growing up, so my allergy to them now is extreme. The welts are always at least quarter-sized, and there's often generalized swelling. The mess from a single bite can last 10 days, abscess, and even scar. Allergy shots and triamcinolone prescription cream helped a lot, but there was still plenty of discomfort. Shocker: this rechargeable unit works even for me! It can take a couple of applications sometimes, but within a minute or two, the itch is gone for good, and the swelling begins to reduce instantly. It's entirely gone within 24 hours--as it should be! Just saying, if it works even for someone with a tested, verified mosquito allergy, it should work for most people. I found the heating sensation a bit hot, but any tiny discomfort I felt from the heat was quickly overwhelmed by the itch relief. I think even most children could become accustomed to this in time. I'm buying more to give as gifts. I received no compensation for this review.

Works on chigger bites
My dog was bringing chiggers into our house every day from our own backyard for months, despite our best efforts to control them. (Good news, we did finally kill them.) This stick was a life saver because I literally had hundreds of bites over time. I lost count after 200. Chigger bites are the itchiest, most intense bites I’ve felt in my entire life. So trust me when I say I tried everything. When I used this stick on a fresh bite, it burned / tingled in a way that felt amazing and took the itch away quickly. Combined with hydrocortisone cream or chiggerx cream right after, I wouldn’t have to think about that bite again. The stick stopped the bites from getting worse and itching relentlessly. From what I understand, the heat destroys whatever makes you so itchy. On bites that I didn’t use the stick, I noticed a huge difference. I haven’t even needed to charge this stick. It’s small and battery life is great. Easy to take with you if you were traveling. It looks like a vape, so keep that in mind. It has two heat settings. I always use high because I love the feeling, but you can use low if it’s too strong. One last note, I would use the stick multiple times on the same bite. Use with caution because you don’t want to actually burn yourself. But I usually did it 3-4 times until I felt that good burny tingly feeling stop. That was an indication to me that I killed off everything in the bite, but I don’t know if that actually means anything. Don’t go overboard with it. But yeah, I love this thing. I use it to stop itching any bug bite and it’s amazing.

Vibis is awesome!
This worked great for our whole family. No creams needed at all. My husband and daughter are mosquito magnets and get very itchy and inflamed. This thing is a game changer for them. Works on new and old bites. Old bites need more zaps but it still works. Works on ant bites too. Currently treating a fresh wasp sting on my 11 year old. Amazingly it took down the swelling after a few zaps over about an hour. The sting was red, swelling, and making his arm stiff and painful. Used Low setting. After a couple of hours he was much better. Swelling gone, redness gone. Pain significantly reduced. Couldn’t believe it. I looked up if this technology really worked on wasp stings before using it and can confirm it absolutely does. It’s day one of the sting so hopefully it continues to heal. If it doesn’t I’ll edit my review, but so far I am impressed. Essentially the heat and light denature the venom from the insect so it makes sense that it should work on many kinds of insect bites/stings. Kind of silly, but…My only complaint is I wish the Vibis name wasn’t in cursive on the tool. When I pulled it out to show a friend we were both trying to read the cursive lettering with the squiggle at the end. We couldn’t tell what it was so I had to go back to my orders to get the name. The squiggle looks like an “n”, sort of. I don’t know… just written unclear and I really like this tool so want to be able to share my find with others so they can get one too. It’s just one of those finds that you know works and want others to benefit from it.

Can't tell if it works
There's three things that are at play here that I've found wit this. 1) It seems to work if you do it within like 5-10 minutes of being bitten 2) I can't tell how much of this is placebo 3) Sometimes it clearly doesn't work My observation: I think this works within 10 minutes after being bitten since the poison is still localized enough. Hasn't hit the blood stream. After that 10 minutes, it's basically placebo, and then the itching is back in full force. It definitely feels like it works, since it definitely gets hot, and there's definitely blue lights that do look like other UVC devices I own. I do like its shape and size. So small, so compact with USB C charging. It does legitimately last like forever, so the 400 per charge claim seems more than legit. Charged it once, and haven't charged it since after a year. Only issue is lining up the ceramic plate on top of the bite. I think it should be a tiny cup, so the bite mound latches onto the ceramic plate, which would also increase the plate's surface area, and you pushing down on it would allow for the blue light to make contact with the skin as well. I'm talking about like 1mm Diameter and 0.5mm deep. I recommend it, it's like 50/50 accurate.
