9 yo loves this series
My 9 yo son is an excellent reader but a bit lazy. He prefers graphic novels, but the large print and cool pictures make this less daunting than a normal chapter book. He was engaged through the entire series and always looking forward to the next one.

Kid likes them but seems scammy
My kid loves these books but reads them in about ten minutes. It’s the equivalent of a couple chapters. It’s good business I guess. Instead of selling what could be one book for around twenty dollars. They sell you a couple chapters at a time and you pay four times the amount.

Great chapter book!
My 2nd grade son just loves these books!! He has read the first 5 in less than a month. I used to struggle to get him to read anything but now he takes his book every where he goes. He is interested and engaged in this series!Thank you so much!

Great first chapter book
My 2nd grade son just loves these books. He read all the Dragon Master books which are part of the same Branches book series. Though he prefers the dragon books these fire hawk books are a close second. The vocabulary in the Firehawk books is a little more challenging than the Dragon Master books but still at a second graders level. They are engaging, quick paced and have great illustrations that have totally hooked my son into reading. Each night he begs to read these books before sleep when before it was a struggle to get him to WANT to read. Overall a good series to hook young readers!

The Last Firehawk Series
We purchased books 2-7 in The Last Firehawk series for our granddaughter who is in the 2nd grade for Christmas. Within a week, she was ready for the last book, so we ordered 8 and 9 for her, too! She loves the adventure and excitement of each new volume! As a retired teacher and Reading Interventionist, her endorsement of this series is the best review!

If you’d like to know what happens you will need to read ...
{My thoughts} – Tag, Skyla and Blaze continue on right where they had left off in the previous book. They continue on with the adventure of collecting all the Ember Stone pieces that they need in order to help defeat the Vulture Thorn. They end up going into the caverns and rescuing a lost seal as well as finding another piece to the stone. While in the cavern they have a run in with some of Thorn’s spies. If you’d like to know what happens you will need to read the book. I think that any child that enjoys reading about animals and adventures will enjoy reading this book as well.

Helping give my son an admiration for reading
Book was new and great condition. My 8 year old son loves this series. It’s adventurous and has pictures on every page to help him activate his imagination. He will crank out these books in 1-2 days. Reading level for him is maybe somewhere between easy and moderate.

Our kids love the last Firehawk book series
We had already read two different unrelated Scholastic book series. Scholastic first chapter books work for us as they have lots of pictures (usually one per page) and yet the storyline is always captivating. We want to introduce chapter books without many pictures, but these books are perfect for the transition from picture books to chapter books (picture books are rather expensive if you need a new one every night). They LOVE the characters and even more so LOVE guessing what will happen next.Whenever possible we use the Kindle edition and broadcast it to our TV via our Amazon Firebox (via wireless projection) so that everyone can see the text and the pictures. Unfortunately not all the books are available for Amazon Kindle, so some books we had to buy as hard paper and we are running out of space in our bookshelves as we have sooo many books, so we prefer electronic copies. Electronic copies also allow us to share it onto their Amazon Fire tablets for kids.Again, loved all of our kids and we have different ages and "grasp of the world".
