Excellent quality!
Perfect tool. Higb quality, easy to use, really good grip and good size.

Can't go wrong with these.
The quality of these tools is more than adequate, a pleasure to use and a privilege to care for (remember to maintain your tools and if in doubt, contact the company via their website for lubrication advice). They are on the pricy side and mine came with some minor defects. One thing to note about Engineer Co. JP tools, they have rather strict use cases. These are not something you want to abuse, the grind and quality of steel is respectable. Far better in function to the generic Chinese stuff though that is also good in its own right for economic reasons. Take care of them, check out Engineer's wire strippers and crimp tools, nothing else compares! My go-to brand for recommending tools internationally.

Brilliant jewellery making pliers
I have searched for years for compact pliers with a side cutter and with long and fine enough jaws to manipulate 4mm jump rings. These are, without doubt, the best I've ever used. They are comfortable to hold and the jaws are strong enough to cut and bend the thickest wire I use (1mm). The spring, while other purchasers find this causes a problem with storage as it holds the jaws open, is exactly what you need for jewellery making. I cannot recommend these pliers highly enough.

Another excellent quality tool
I followed up my purchase of the NS-04 cutters with these - Precision Long Nose Pliers NS-01 (and recently ordered the PS-03 Needle nose pliers). Yes, I was impressed. All of the general comments I made in my review of the NS-04 cutters applies to the whole range of Engineer Precision Tools (well, those I have examined so far anyway). A very high standard of manufacture is evident equal to any premier branded tool. I've added a few customer photos to this advert together with comments that highlight some of the features which can be found. I do highly recommend them to price-concious 'pro' users who still demand high quality. The only drawback with the Engineer brand is the rather limited range of tools on offer, it is not broad enough to satisfy all requirements. Nevertheless, grab these for your basic tool kit and fill in around them as necessary with other top brands.

High quality Japanese engineering
One of the best I have used, no wobble at hinge and really good at griping tiny edges. I use this to clean up 3d printed plastic and it grips down to 1mm or less with precision. Would give a 5 star if it has a longer nose and a closing mechanism so it does not stay open because of the spring mechanism. I put a wire tie at the handle loop to keep it closed in my tool box.

Excellent quality.
As with all the Engineer tools I’ve bought, this is very good quality. A point to note is however, if the jaws are forced open wide, the spring can escape. No problem in normal use though.

Sturdy and strong
Sturdy and grip well. Used a pair at work for ages and they're unbelievably strong for their size.
