Slicey slice
This actually works very well and saves me hours. Very sharp, so don't be careless and all will be go0d.

Great little slicer!
I used to have a regular-sized mandolie with a bunch of different blades, etc., but I never used it, so I got rid of it. I saw this little slicer and decided to try it for when I need to slice onion. Used it today for the first time and I am impressed! Easy to use, makes nice uniform slices. Leaves minimal amount leftover in hand-held portion. Easy to clean. 10/10 would recommend!

Easy and simple setup and cleaning.
I never used my previous mandolin because it was a pain to set up correctly and just big and bulky. This one is great! Works well and quick and simple to use and clean. I have it one less star because a clip broke that helps keep the back plate in place but Amazon refunded. It's a great basic slicer.

Simple and amazing!
I eat cucumber salad a lot (sliced cucumbers and shaved red onion) and this cuts the prep time by 75%. Super safe, easy to use and clean, and the graduations in cut thickness are perfect. The blade is incredibly sharp and I can make roughly a full jar of pickle chips in about 60 seconds. Try that with a knife (unless you’re a master with a knife!). Definitely worth the money if you need to slice ANYTHING

Came broken on one side, but very sharp blade
Came with a piece broken that held the cutter in place on one side. Blade is very sharp and works well. I like the adjustable feature on thickness. I probably should have returned it and gotten a new one since this one was really hard to use with the one side keep popping up that was broken.

Easy To Use
I never had a mandoline slicer before. This year I am preparing a large potato gratin for Christmas Dinner, and I want it to look nice, so decided to purchase a mandoline in order to get uniform sized potato slices. After reading many reviews that talked about people getting cuts, I also purchased some "safety gloves" to wear when using this item! Decided to practice using this the other day. Yes, it does a great job of slicing. (practiced on a potato) But I tell you, I was very glad I had gloves on. It would be all too easy to cut yourself on the sharp blade. It certainly is a time saver, and it is easy to clean and store. If you think you won't use this type of kitchen tool often, why pay a lot of money for one? This does a good job and is very reasonably priced. I am happy with my purchase.

Meh....
Oaky, this may be (stress MAYBE) a decent starter unit for the novice or younger cook BUT how they budding chef will use this unit is somewhat limiting. People with mobility issues, like arthritis, may need a low-cost option and this unit will work well for a time - until the blade, which I am already experience a drag after only 8 uses. So whether the cheap entry price is really worth it will be an individual decision. The price point was a draw and I was attracted to it's wide table. The plastic holds stains, so my use application that sliced beets and carrots, produced a pretty colored stain that cannot be removed. It also holds the odor of garlic and onions, which makes me question the quality of the material; maybe too porous? (Even my vintage Bakelite bowls and plates don't hold odors! - Do not use these vintage items in your microwave or dishwasher.) Even though it is supposed to be "dishwasher safe" I will only use it with plain soap and water to hand wash. I am not a material science expert, but am concerned about the micro-plastic breakdown with the caustic dishwasher powders and pods available in the U.S. Recommend saving your pennies to buy a pro-grade unit that has detachable blades for sharpening or replacing. Until you can afford a proper long-lasting and reliable unit, most home cooks can make-do with a decent, sharp knife IMO.
