Synology BC500-5MP AI Bullet IP Camera, Night Vision, IP67

I have been using 4 of these on a building for a few months now in the Phoenix area and they have so far survived the very hot summer and occasional monsoon storms with no problem. My setup experience with them was very quick and entirely plug and play. Synology's Camera Station (CS) is able to detect the cameras on the network and offers to set them up. Firmware updates are automatic if desired or can be set for manual mode. While the cameras are able to be accessed directly via their own internal webpages, which is handy for quick image checks and a few basic settings, most things are fully configurable within CS itself. One feature between the cameras and CS is the automatic seamless uploading and integration of any recorded footage into the timeline while CS might be offline for software updates or is otherwise unavailable. This requires an optional MicroSD card to be installed in the camera before mounting it, which I highly recommend. I agree fully with Jose's excellent review and won't rehash everything he said with regard to the AI features but will add one big thing: When used with Camera Station, this camera DOES NOT REQUIRE A LICENSE. This saves $60 or is included in the price of the camera, depending on how you look at it. To comment on the $40 camera comment... you get what you pay for! Synology is a well known brand with quality products. While I cannot comment on using this camera with other systems, I chose it for use with CS, for which it was designed. I highly recommend it!

Good security camera. If you are running a Synology NAS and you are familiar with Synology products then you know you do not have to use nor buy a camera license. Good focus, but it says something like 100 feet but it is more like 75 feet. I record on my NAS. If the power goes out, I have UPS's on my router and switches and this camera so it keeps recording for a couple of hours on an SD card that when the network and power are back, the recordings go to the NAS. This is unobtrusive in its size. What I definitely do not like is poor night vision IF you live in the country and there is no ambient lighting. If you live in a city, you have plenty of ambient light. If you live in suburbia, maybe there is enough ambient light. i had to add two IF illuminators (lights that shine in the infrared zone so invisible to mammals but night vision is enhanced because everything is lit up black and white. The lights have photo cells so these are on only during the night and are not visible so it all seems dark out). If you are looking to snag a license plate on the recording, maybe. It depends on mounting height and so on.You have to experiment. Video is sharp, but night vision is almost non-existent. I needed my areas illuminated so extra lights worked. I think this is a superior product but for the night vision. I have friends who live in cities. Their cameras pick up night recordings fine. This needs improvement.

Synology got it right! This camera is a breeze to install and configure. Running at 2880x1620 30FPS resolution with HDR enabled and the picture looks great both day & night. Good color balance. - High Quality picture both day & night - I'm running full resolution and color at night with ambient light. - Configuration is a breeze - true plug & play for dummies or configure to your liking. Best of both worlds. - Nice AI features built into camera - very accurate vehicle & people detection & tracking. - Camera apps well designed to search and find people or vehicles in m ay continues recording DB. Pick a spot in the camera view and you can watch cars or people that intersect that point. Very nice and powerful search feature. - I believe this camera is well priced for the AI features & ease of installation First, I want to say I have only been running this camera for a little over a week. So, I can't comment on the longevity of the camera. But I can tell you that installing and setting up 3rd party cameras on Synology SS can be very time consuming and tedious to get camera features configured for over 800+ different kinds of cameras that SS does support. With that being said, installing this camera and enabling all of the features it has took me less than 30 minutes. That is after reading all the product documentation on the BC500 camera that I could find using Synology knowledge base search. I've been using Synology SS application for years on different Synology platforms. The BC500 camera I purchased at Amazon was installed in addition to 10 existing high-resolution cameras connected and viewed on SS v9.1.1 running on DSM 7.2 Hardware platform consist of: DS1621+ & DX517 chassis. I am a security buff and I like to know what is always going on both outside and inside my home (when I’m not home). Using the search Vehicle and People detection feature of the BC500 are working as described and I couldn't be happier. I use the BC500 search features to find an event for Vehicles or People on any point of the video feed view and I can synchronize that event across all my cameras and watch a cohesive view of any event of my liking. Why, because I installed the BC500 at a strategic point that allows me to get full use of the AI features of the camera. This allows me to search and sniff through security video quickly and efficiently. It's definitely less time consuming as the People and Vehicle events are captured and indexed by SS and very accurate at that! Way to go Synology! you got this one right!

シノロジーのナスと組み合わせるなら少し高いですが純正が1番使いやすいです。 最大のメリットはサービュランスステーションで遠隔監視する時に純正カメラだと通信速度の遅い環境でも動画が固まらなくて良いです。 コインランドリーの監視に使用していますが、ネット環境がない場所では、SIMフリー対応のルーター、DS124、POE対応のハブを組み合わせて使っていますが、サクサク動画が見れる所が良いです。 アイプロ、HVIEW、AXIS等のカメラを同じ条件で使ってみましたが、シノロジーのナスにはシノロジーのカメラが1番相性良いです。

SynologyのNASで使っています。高価ですがSynology監視カメラなら別途ライセンス購入不要ですし設定も容易です。色々設定できて重宝しています。BC500を含めて7台使ってます。

会社でSurveillance Stationにて防犯カメラを運用しています。 このシステムは無料で運用も簡単でNASの知識さえあれば低コストで運用できます。 建物増築で監視カメラ2台増えたのでBC500を購入してみました。 設置及び設定 PoEで給電しています。設定も純正ですのですぐ終わりました。 機能 Instant Serchなど人や車が写ったファイルが瞬時に検索出来て非常に便利 イベントの検出設定も簡単にできます。 カメラの画質 ビデオ形式 H.264 解像度 2880×1620 フレームレート 30 で運用していますがズームしても車のナンバーの読み取りは微妙です。 耐久性 約1ヶ月の運用ですが屋内運用の方は順調です。 屋外運用の方は取付より約5日目でカメラ内部に浸水があり8日目には応答なしになりました。 雨が多い時期でしたがIP67であるので屋外使用は問題ないはず。 アスクのサポートへ連絡してRMAの申請をしました。約3～4週間かかるとWEBでは説明がありました。 サービスの対応が待てないので追加でBC500を買い足してすぐ屋外へ取付けて運用していますが今回は雨も降りましたが今のところ順調です。 総評 値段はそれなりしますがメーカーもしっかりしていて導入も簡単、カメラAI機能で運用もわかりやすい 将来は全てこれで揃えても良いと思っています。 ライセンスも不要です。

シノロジー nasに接続しています。ライセンスがついているので購入しましたが、夜間は白黒です。パンフレットにははっきり書かれていません。後は耐久性です。
