Soft bristles. Seem fairly durable.
Mini painters live in a golden era of tool options. I quite enjoy that there seems to be a renaissance of sorts when it comes to redefining an old-school technique like drybrushing in to an almost total process of painting a mini.Whats even better is that artists started digging in to other industries like makeup application to bring over new trade tools. These brushes kind of fit in to that trend..they're makeup brushes, but made just a teeny bit smaller. These have nice substantial handles for ease of holding and the rounded heads work well on various volumes on a miniature or terrain. This offera a lot of control during application.I always worry with cheaper brushes about how well the bristles will hold up...particularly for brushes that will get used roughly. Drybrushing is a rough technique after all. But after quite some time and use I can say these have been very durable! Sure, there is some slight splay, and a few hairs have fallen out (this is just common with almost any natural hair brush the first few uses, but has since subsided), but the overall shape and softness has been mostly maintained. They clean well in plain water and remain soft afterwards, but you could also give them a brush soap scrub every now and then if you need to.Note: Of the brushes in this set, I would say the largest 3 are my most used. I thought the smallest ones would be way more handy, but I've also found techniques that seem to favor larger brushes. So don't buy these solely for access to the tiniest brush included in this set.Overall: very nice set that will be super useful in your mini painting process! Get rid of those gray armies!

Great for "Drybrushing" - use the free included dampening pad
The brushes come in 3 general sizes, all rounded out in a slightly domed shape. The bristles or hair used are soft and fine - almost the same as goat hair when comparing to calligraphy brushes, not too soft but not too inflexible either. If used correctly upon application it leaves no brush marks. Easy to clean and if maintained and cleaned properly will retain its shape and form.

Great quality dry brushes
Fantastic brushes. So good, I bought a second pair for metallic paints. Love that it comes with cleaner and a sponge. Plenty of different sizes for different applications.

Pretty great set of dry brushed for the price point. Been using these heavily lately and are holding up rather well.

Good brushes at a good price
Good brushes at a good price. Compared to expensive brushes the only difference is the logo on the handle and the expensive ones come with a wooden box. These come with a cardboard box. Same brushes but a 100$ difference . I'll take the cardboard box and keep my 100$. Lol

Good as Artis Opus
Round, makeup dry brushes that function as good as any other, comes with small bit of soap and dampening pad. I have the artis opus sets and these are comparative in quality and functionality. They don’t come in a wood box and aren’t as expensive as a result of that. Otherwise there’s no functional difference in quality or performance. I can understand the S and M series brushes being bought from Artis for the quality hair but save yourself $100 and buy these instead of D

Amazing value compared to that "other" brand
These are great. Are they as good a top of the line luxury brand that is multiple times more expensive than these? No... but they are a close second. These will shed bristles while being broken-in like most non-luxury brands, which is normal and after using them multiple times I haven't noticed it again.Because these are more inexpensive than other brush sets in my collection, I am actually using these more for everyday projects and continue to enjoy them.
