WWE: Straight Outta Dudleyville
WWE: Straight Outta Dudleyville, The documentary is the standard WWE DVD. No where near as good as the CM PUNK and Paul Heyman Bio's. Completely ignores the TNA years. The reason to buy this set is the ECW matches and promos. Do not watch the ECW promos around children or adults who are sensitive to bad language.

This three disc DVD showcases the careers of the Dudley Boyz. The main feature is a biography piece on the Dudleys and then we get two discs of matches. The first disc is made up of a 75 minute documentary. As usual with WWE documentaries it is very well made. The feature shows the Dudleys preparing for their return to WWE in 2015. They use this footage to introduce us to the rest of the Dudleys' careers. I like this style as the modern day footage helps hold the piece together as we go through both mans' careers. I felt like they covered pretty much everything from the Dudleys' careers in this feature. They go through things fairly quickly and don't stay on any one subject for too long. The only thing really missing from the feature is the long time they spent in TNA, although that time is mentioned, for obvious reasons they don;t go into much detail on that. There are a good amount of people interviewed for the biography. Bubba Ray and D-Von have recorded interviews to go along-side the interviews they got as they prepared for their return. There are also a load of other relevant people interviewed which includes family members as well as wrestlers who knew the Dudleys personally such as Edge, Spike Dudley, Rob Van Dam, Raven and Mick Foley. They all add a lot to the overall presentation. I knew the Dudleys fairly well for what they did in the ring but not a lot of them personally so there was a lot of new information in this feature as the Dudleys' story isn't one that's been told too often. Overall it was a really good, informative and entertaining documentary. There are some bonus stories included as extras a long with a load of the Dudley Boyz' best matches. There are occasional segments with the Dudleys between matches if they have something to add that didn't make the main feature, these segments are rare but welcome.Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley vs. The Pitbulls - This first match was from their time in ECW. Before the match we get a promo that shows of the edgier style of promo the Dudleys were known for in ECW. It was censored but you get the point. The match starts with a big brawl through the crowd, it's a thing ECW did quite a bit and it's hard to get into as you can't see the action too well. When the action got to the ring it was fine. It had the ECW chaotic style which I feel hurts the flow of a match if you're not already invested in the action. The crowd were really into it though. Some of the action felt like it was just happening for no reason, like the Pitbulls decided to hit their finish on a referee at one point. The match doesn't really have a finish either which hurts it. It just kind of ends. It's a good look at the early Dudley Boys' violent and chaotic style but as a match this wasn't too good.Buh Buh Ray Dudley vs. D-Von Dudley - This one was better. It still had the brawl in the crowd but it was shorter and most of the action took place in or around the ring. The action wasn't the best but it wasn't boring or anything. They used a chair a few times but didn't over-do it. There were a couple of good near-falls towards the end and it had a good, clean finish. I think this match was about Buh Buh Ray showing D-Von that he wasn't just a joke.D-Von Dudley vs. Tommy Dreamer - This was from an episode of RAW during the ECW invasion to promote their upcoming pay-per-view. The match was a good preview of an ECW match. They brawled, used some weapons and had a clean, decisive finish. It was entertaining from start to finish and avoided the crowd brawling and confusing chaos that brought some ECW matches down, it was a pretty enjoyable match. The Dudley Boyz vs. The Eliminators - This was an ECW Tag Team Championship match from ECW's first ever pay-per-view, Barely Legal. It was a unexpectedly one sided match. It was wrestled without tags, every man was just already in the ring. The Dudleys took a load of punishment from the Eliminators. They spent most of the time in the ring and avoided the ECW brawl through the crowd thankfully. It had a good clean finish and the action was entertaining. Nothing memorable but entertaining.Buh Buh, D-Von and Big Dick Dudley vs. Tommy Dreamer, The Sandman and Spike Dudley - This was a Dudleyville Street Fight from ECW's Heatwave pay-per-view. It starts off with tagging in and out which they stick to for a while but before long the match breaks down and it's just an out of control brawl all over the arena. The stuff in the crowd was more tolerable in this match as there were always three pairs of people fighting so you didn't have long moments in the crowd where you couldn't see as the camera could just switch to some more action. A load of weapons are used and almost everyone ends up bleeding. It was one of the better examples of ECW's out of control style as it was easy to follow and felt like it had a flow to it while still being violent and chaotic. The best match so far.The Dudley Boyz vs. Tommy Dreamer and Raven - This was an ECW Tag Team Championship Match and would be the Dudleys' final match in ECW. They'd just wrestled a match and won which led to them calling out Tommy Dreamer. Dreamer took the bait and came out to fight. Dreamer uses weapons in order to keep the match competitive against two opponents. The action was entertaining and it led to the return of Raven which was a pretty cool moment. The match probably wasn't technically that great but it was fun entertainment. We also get The Dudleys' ECW farewell from after the show included. The Dudley Boyz vs. The Acolytes - The Dudleys were now in WWE and on pay-per-view. It was a good back and forth match. The action was entertaining and they had a decent amount of time. There were some good near-falls as they built towards the finish. Unfortunately it wasn't a clean finish but it was at least a result and wasn't a disqualification or anything. An enjoyable tag team brawl. The Hardy Boyz vs. The Dudley Boyz - This was a Tag Team Tables match from the 2000 Royal Rumble. Both members of the opposite team had to go through a table to win the match but after being put through a table they could still be part of the match until it was over. It was a great match. The action was fast paced and non-stop. There were plenty of creative and painful looking moments as they used the tables and also brought in ladders and chairs. The table spots were all different and all really good. They took advantage of the fact both members of each team had to go through a table to give us more exciting spots as some men went through more than just the one table. The finish was great and memorable and so was the match as a whole. Such a good match. The Dudley Boyz vs. The New Age Outlaws - This was a WWE Tag Team Championship match from No Way Out. This was a pretty one sided match with The Dudleys controlling most of the action, isolating Road Dogg. I think Billy Gunn was injured here so Road Dogg had to do 90% of the work for his team. Despite it's one sided nature it was a lot of fun to watch as it was entertaining attitude era style tag team action with a good, decisive finish.Edge and Christian vs. The Hardy Boyz vs. The Dudley Boyz - This was the first ever Tables, Ladders and Chairs match and it was for the WWE Tag Team Championships. They somehow managed to improve on their already great Triangle Ladder Match from Wrestlemania 2000 and got even crazier with their high risk and high impact offence. Each man took so much punishment and there were plenty of great spots, none of which felt too forced which can somehow happen in these matches. Despite all the pain they were being put through the action never slowed down, even for a second. There were so many memorable moments throughout the action and the finish was good too. A fantastic match. The Dudley Boyz vs. The Rock and The Undertaker - This was a Tables Match from Smackdown. Even though this was a Tables match they started off tagging in and out. It made the rules feel inconsistent but as far as the action went it wasn't a problem. The action was a lot of fun, as so many matches from this era were. Undertaker and Rock had the advantage individually but the Dudleys used their tag team experience to keep the match competitive. It had a good, satisfying finish and was overall a lot of fun.Edge and Christian vs. The Dudley Boyz - This was the WWE Tag Team Championship Match from the 2001 Royal Rumble. It was a really good back and forth match that the crowd were really into. The action was entertaining from start to finish with Edge and Christian using whatever underhanded tactics they could to get the upperhand and isolate D-Von. There were some good near-falls and some really strong teamwork from both sides. The crowd being so into the match helped make this feel like a big deal. In the end we got a good, clean finish to a really good match. The Hardy Boyz vs. Edge and Christian vs. The Dudley Boyz - This was Tables, Ladders and Chairs 2, for the Tag Team Championships at Wrestlemania X-7. I don't know how these six men managed to improve on their first TLC match with this one, but they did. The spots got even crazier and the punishment got even more impactful. Lita got involved on behalf of the Hardys, Rhyno did for Edge and Christian and Spike Dudley came out for the Dudley Boyz. They all added something to the match and made it even more entertaining. This was definitely one of the best TLC matches of all time and also one of the best Wrestlemania matches of all time. Also the finishing spot was fantastic. The Dudley Boyz vs. The Rock and Kurt Angle - The WWE Tag Team Championships were on the line again here. It was a really fast paced and entertaining match. Angle and Rock were dominant early on before the Dudleys used their tag team experience to take over and make the match competitive. The Dudleys worked over Angle's neck which had been recently injured. The action was a lot of fun and it had some really good near-falls. It all breaks down into chaos towards the end as a load of alliance members come out to attack Rock and Angle. The match was kind of thrown out after that which was a shame but it was still a pretty good ending. It wasn't a result but it was effective so that didn't matter too much. The Dudley Boyz vs. The Hardy Boyz - This one was for the WCW Tag Team Championships. It was a fairly short television match. It was still very good for the time that it lasted though. These two teams always delivered fun, entertaining matches throughout the attitude era and so they made this very enjoyable to watch. It also had a very good finish involving a 3D from the top rope. The Hardy Boyz vs. The Dudley Boyz - This was a Steel Cage match to unify the WWE and WCW Tag Team Championships. Even though there's no disqualifications they started this match tagging in and out. They gave up on that soon enough though and the Dudleys got control, using the cage and their size as a weapon. The Hardys fought back and the Dudleys managed to bring in a table that they tried to use to end the match. This was a really good match that played to both teams' strengths, contained a load of great action and a satisfying finish. The rules were a bit confusing to start off with but once they got past that this was excellent.Brother D-Von vs. Triple H - The Dudley Boyz had been split up in the brand split here and D-Von was doing a religious preacher gimmick. The match was pretty good. I don't find D-Von as interesting as a singles star but they did enough to cover for that here. It was a fairly short match and there was some interference to keep things interesting. D-Von got more offence that I thought he would against someone like Triple H. It had a decisive finish and was enjoyable overall.Bubba Ray Dudley vs. Brock Lesnar - Bubba kind of remained the same when the Dudleys split up, not that that's a bad thing. This was a much more competitive match than I was expecting. It wasn't just Brock dominating the action, Bubba Ray got in quite a lot of offence against Lesnar and managed to score a couple of good near-falls. It lasted a good amount of time for the kind of match they were having and had a strong, decisive finish.Bubba Ray Dudley vs. Triple H - This was for the World Heavyweight Championship. It was another match that on paper looks like it would be really one sided. Thankfully though it wasn't and we get a good, back and forth match. The action was entertaining from start to finish. There was a bit of interference by Ric Flair but it only added to the match. They had a good amount of time and a strong, satisfying finish. A pretty enjoyable, competitive match. The Dudley Boyz vs. Rey Mysterio and Rob Van Dam - By 2004 the Dudleys were back together again, this was from Judgment Day of that year. It was a very good back and forth match. The Dudleys controlled most of the action, isolating RVD and Mysterio separately. The match had a good pace and entertaining action. It lasted a good amount of time and the teams worked well together. There were some good near-falls towards the end and a strong, satisfying finish. The Dudley Boyz vs. Tommy Dreamer and Sandman - This was from ECW One Night Stand and was the Dudleys' last match for WWE for over a decade. Before the match got started we got a run in by the Blue World Order, Axl Rotten, Balls Mahoney and Kid Kash because this was ECW. The match was a load of chaotic fun. It felt a bit like a greatest hits style of match, using all the things that fans liked about ECW. That was exactly what it needed to be though. There were a load of weapons used, including some we don't see in WWE such as a cheese grater that shredded the face of Tommy Dreamer and Bubba Ray Dudley. It was absolute chaos, all four men ended up bleeding at one point or another. There were more run-ins as the match went on by Lance Storm, Justin Credible, Spike Dudley, Beulah McGuillicutty and Francine. It also featured a flaming table in a great moment and had a strong and decisive finish. This match was exactly what it needed to be, chaotic, hardcore, violent fun.The New Day vs. The Dudley Boyz - This was the only match included from the Dudleys 2015 return to WWE, it was a WWE World Tag Team Championship match. It was a good, back and forth match. The action was good, with the Dudleys dominating but New Day using distractions to turn things around and keep the match competitive. It lasted a good amount of time and had a good false finish. The actual finish was disappointing and we didn't get a satisfying result, however the match was still pretty good overall and a good way to end the DVD.This was a very good DVD that covered the Dudleys' careers nicely. The biography feature is well made and informative and feels like it does their careers justice. The matches are for the most part very entertaining and I can't really think of any big matches that were left out that should have been included. All their more famous matches are include along with a few rare gems. Any Dudley Boyz fan would be very pleased with this release. There are a few matches that have been release on a bunch of other DVDs but that can't always be helped. Judging this one on it's own and not counting repeats it's an overall very good collection.

This was a near perfect retrospective on their career
I'm a huge Dudleys fan. This was a near perfect retrospective on their career. They even mentioned TNA.The only knit picking negative, is that it's missing an iconic segment from 2000 when the Dudleys almost joined RTC.
