My 6 year and I read this book over the span of roughly 2-3 weeks. He is currently playing baseball and really liked the stories about other players.

As a baseball player and baseball fan, he was excited to receive this book and one other by the same author!

This is a great book for the young baseballer in your life - there's trivia, handy hits, facts, history. A great read that I really enjoyed. I will be giving a copy to the young ones I know who play!

I got this book to share with my boys playing accelerated baseball. We put a lot of stress upon our boys now a days and this book reminds us to keep it simple. I enjoyed this book as it has everything from A-Z, including popular movies (ofcorse "sandlot") I also plan on using the trivia for later.

As mentioned in thie title this is a good book for who is approaching this sport: history, rules, top players profile.. I think is a good gift for a kid approaching with enthusiasm to this sport.

This is a great introduction to baseball with everything from basic rules to famous players, stadiums, and teams. It even has tips on pitching and hitting etc. A great resource for young fans and older fans alike. Highly recommend.

Our three grandchildren have all started to play baseball, and we wanted some books to give the eldest (he will be twelve in October) on his birthday and at Christmas. We picked this one because it has the basics - rules of the game (he has asked about diamond sizes etc), famous players, history of the game, etc. Nothing overly detailed, but informative. When it arrived we saw it more than met our expectations and he should love it once he gets his hands on it. Recommended.
