We all absolutely love this set. My kids (11 & 7) both find it easy to use, and they have come up with a lot of creative designs. It is a relaxing activity for adults as well. I typically like scrolling on my phone or playing video games, but I have really enjoyed the time I have spent working on this craft instead. It is very easy to thread the string through the 'pen' to get started. Getting the very first part to stick can be a little tricky (like 2 out of 10 tricky), but after that, every time you poke the pen into the hole, the strings stay put. It is easy to remove the string when you are done. This makes nearly no 'mess,' so it's perfect for a car ride or quiet activity when out and about. We are still able to fit the entire set in the box in which it came. In a perfect world, there would be more string to use, or the strings could be longer, or there could be a larger variety of colors, but I suppose you could find similar string and it might work just fine with this (it's basically like shoelace).

Such a fresh toy for fine motor skills, pre-writing skills, etc! Easy to pack in a bag or take on the go. My 3.5 year old is still getting the hang of it, it’s just enough of a challenge for her. Quality of materials seems great so far, but we’ll see how they hold up.

Lovely product great for visual perceptual skills and fine motor precision however it should come with designs to create or design cards to copy.

I love these for my preschool classroom! I don’t know yet how long they will last (only used for a few months so far) but they were engaging for a wide range of students and abilities. Younger children explored the materials and created with loose strings. More proficient students could make purposeful patterns and keep the strings tight. A great way to encourage fine motor skills needed for writing implements! While creating pictures/representations is challenging, this is great for exploring lines, patterns, concentric shapes, and repetition! After purchasing one, I bought another.

I CANNOT SAY HOW AMAZING THIS PRODUCT IS ENOUGH! I am a behavior interventionist at an elementary school. I have multiple students I work with that have a REALLY difficult time sitting though lessons or a specialist class, and the main goal is for them to stay in class for the entire time without interrupting the lesson or class. I randomly found this tool when I was looking for things to help with tools for hand and eye coordination and dexterity, and this popped up in the search. I wish I found this years ago because this is the best purchase I have had this year. I allow the students to use these WHILE they are sitting in class and listening to the lesson, and this tool is not disruptive, it is not messy, and every one of the students who have used these have stayed interested in this tool for 40+ minutes and was able to stay in the classroom without interruption. It has decreased behavior outbursts for these students and have decreased the SOS calls for the teachers to remove the student. Anyway, these are SO wonderful for many reasons, but it keeps students busy (like a fidget toy) while they can still listen to the teacher and it is NOT a screen. Love these so much I have already told ALL of my teacher friends, especially those in special education to buy these!
