Q: What bluetooth heart rate monitors work with this timer? I would like to use a chest strap for better accuracy

The Flex Timer app can integrate with any heart rate monitor that supports the bluetooth heart rate profile. This open standard allows any app to integrate with any heart rate monitor without tying you in to a vendor specific application. Unfortunately, some companies do not follow this standard and instead use a proprietary protocol so that only their apps or their approved partner's apps can integrate with their technology. Q: While using the app, does it disable the phone's "sleep" or lock mode? If not does the app still function while phone is locked?

The app is used to program and initiate the external timer. Once you have started the timer, the phone is no longer necessary and can be disconnected, put to sleep or locked. The timer will continue to run even if the phone is locked or sleeps.

Q: Is it android compatible?

Yes. It works with both Android and iOS devices that have Bluetooth Low Energy (which is most modern devices).

Q: does the timer count both up and down?

Yes, it has standard, round, interval, tabata , EMOM, timer and some customizable options.

Stopped working with the App, frustrating and wasted my money

At first it was great: Very clear, the app had numerous settings and options and perfect for the home gym or even a gym . However, the app has stopped connecting with the timer. I have done all the trouble shooting options multiple times: permissions, blue tooth, location, factory reset, re-installed etc. Even tried 2 different phones - Still will not connect. I really can't be bothered to waste anymore time (no pun intended) on this. The return window expired 16 months ago and they are out of stock. Very poor and would not buy again anyway. One for the scrap heap!

Broken within 10 minutes of use.

I received this in the post. I set it up and it to test and it was working okay. I then moved it to the location where I wanted it to be permanently. When I plugged it in I heard a fizz/buzz and it no longer powers on.The circuit looks loose when you look through the glass. Also didn’t come with a UK power adapter which is poor!Not worth the expensive price!
