Excellent Stand With Minimal Height, Good Looks and Solid Build!
This is a basic, but good quality stand that looks great on any desktop. The side supports are strong plastic with rubber feet and the top is black coated MDF for added strength. The curved sides and front, along with the heavily beveled edges and the soft black appearance, give it a very classy look in person (better than I expected). It's not very clear from the pictures, but the back of the stand is straight, allowing it to be pushed flush against a wall or rear of a desk. At 23" wide and 13" deep, the stand's rather large footprint can accommodate any size monitor base with ease and leaves extra room around the edges of most monitors to place other, smaller items on the stand, if needed. The stand measures exactly 3" to the top, but the actual usable space underneath is only 2-1/4" tall. This is more than sufficient for stowing most keyboards when not in use, but the low profile may be restrictive to some. In my case, where I'm using the stand to support a large LCD monitor for music recording and editing in my home studio, most standard size USB Audio Interfaces I have tried fit underneath perfectly, which works out great for preserving my valuable desk space. All in all, if you are looking for an attractive, inexpensive and well-built stand to raise your monitor up just a few inches, you really can't beat this Kantek! In fact, I think I just came up with their new slogan..."Can't Beat a Kantek"! Highly recommended.

Great Monitor Stand But with a Catch~
The Kantek Monitor Stand is one of the better ones you can purchase. It is sleek, attractive, and holds Monitors, or laptops, perfectly. There's no wobbling or bending down of the elevated area whatsoever. The surface area is large enough, both width and length, to support a variety of monitor bases. Whether smaller LCD ones, wide screen or CRT bases, and even kickstand monitors, which the base is basically the bottom fo the screen. The feet are made of heavy duty rubber. Strong enough to hold anything up but will not scratch the surface of your desk (tested on tempered glass desk). Even the label is possitioned and sized perfectly. It doesn't "scream" who the manufacturer is and actually adds "class" to it. There is even a label underneath to ensure you that it's safe to use and does not release "Spooky" fumes. Now, notice that huge But in the title? Hopefully you did because this is where the stand comes short. It only elevates it by a total of 2 and one fourth of an inch. That's it. So it offers just enough room to place a non-gaming keyboard, smaller laptop, or DVD/Blu-ray player underneath. Even low profile speakers will not fit, obviously. The surface adds an extra inch to it so overall it will elevate it around the three inch mark(a tad bit more). If you're looking for a monitor stand that holds up, doesn't elevate it too high, and doesn't scream cheapness then would highly recommend it. If not, might want to look around.

Cheap and Easy Smart TV Solution
In this age of notebooks and tablets monitor stands may be a bit of an anachorism. They seem like a solution for a problem hardly anyone has. Fortunately for Kantek their MS208B monitor stand is also a solution for a problem more people are about to have. We're talking Smart TVs. What makes this Kantek stand so useful is its size. It's big enough to hold your 50" flat screen and robust enough to support up to 80 lbs. If you own a Smart TV you will quickly learn that the remote sucks for anything beyond changing channels. So you will want to hook up a keyboard. Put the TV on the stand and slide the keyboard under it for storage. Voila, problem solved. Unlike most of these things, that break if you look at them, this unit is both well built and attractive, with a wooden top and grippy rubber feet.

Is that an old CRT Monitor on the box picture? :)
It looked and felt like something out the 1980's when I received it, but does what it is supposed to do, and is very sturdy. The old-school, heavy CRT monitor on the packaging picture cracked me up, lol (blast from the past!) I have a 22" lightweight flat-screen LED monitor on it, but it can definitely hold heavier. The space under the monitor stand is barely 2" high so take that into account. I bought it for exactly that reason (low monitor elevation), and purchased a proper-sized organizer tray to slide underneath the stand (after applying felt feet to tray) to hold my various desk items and flash drives. Works great!

Perfect For My Needs For A TV Riser
My sound bar was in front of my TV. No problem that, except that the remote sensor is at the bottom right of the TV. The sound bar was in front of the sensor. That was a problem.I went looking for a platform for my TV. Wow, they are pricey. So I started looking for a booster for a computer, much less pricey. This one is a little larger than I would have liked, but it does fit where I need it. As other reviewers said, it has little rubber feet on the bottom, so it can't slide off the stand. It is well sturdy enough to hold a 32 inch TV.The TV is black, the sound bar is black, so this blends right in. I couldn't be more pleased.

A '10' for both function AND aesthetics
I am very pleased with this stand - it suits my needs to a tee. I'm using it in the bedroom for a 32" flat screen TV. As others have noted, the 3" space underneath is overstated but the actual 2¼" is enough that my DVD player fits with plenty of room to spare. The stand has a substantial feel to it and the rubber feet keep it from slipping. It looks great, too. The base of my TV is a long, skinny oval and what with the stand's curved front it almost looks as though the TV and stand are all one piece. No assembly required. And as someone else mentioned, the price was right. I feel that I got great value for my money. Love it!

Like a Rock... remember that slogan?
I bought this in October 2012 and am reviewing it now.It does exactly what it's supposed to. It's well built, sturdy, and solid. The brand logo that was glued on eventually fell off on its own but whatever. Right now it's holding up a 27 inch monitor along with all sorts of other accessories and devices I have laying around in front of the monitor. No bending of platform at all. The open space underneath the stand is 55mm tall.

A solid, good-looking monitor stand
Well made and surprisingly sturdy given the thickness of the top shelf (I suspect it's made of a high-density board). Looks far more sleek and "high-end" than some other all-plastic stands I've seen. Color is all black, including side supports (I say this because they look grey-ish in some pics). A regular (~18" wide) keyboard slips in with a bit of room to spare.
