Rick Steins Long Weekends [DVD]

Yet another Rick Stein adventure; I have bought them all, along the way, and the concept is really good. Rick presents the content well, (see below!), and knows what he is talking about. He combines the food element with historical details which adds to the overall enjoyment of the programme. BUT, I could not award five stars because of something he does in every one of his adventures - commenting on the food when his mouth is full! He frequently apologises for it, and says he shouldn't do it, but he still does. He obviously knows it is bad manners and distasteful for those watching, but does it none the less. It is nauseating to watch, and reminds me of a biological concrete mixer!!!! Please Rick, try to show some manners in future.

If you like to enjoy informative time and journey through food and foreign culture Rick Stein...with his open-minded liberal character is the man to take you on that delightful trip.It's a pure pleasure watching his various programs from here and there in the world.

Packed full of information about the places he visits history well enough anyway ! as it is more a eaters guide than a history book.This in mind we all know that it's always best to eat where the locals eat when your away, which on a short break would be hard to find this book has done the hard, time consuming job for you , leaving you time to enjoy the ambiance of the area

Good entertaining dvd

Brilliant DVD series from a chef who looks beyond the food and includes the culture and history of the places visited.

Very interesting DVD, well worth watching.

This was a gift. Feedback from recipient was that this was excellent, full of good ideas.Amazon delivery time information was confused, however it arrived in time.

Rick Stein, need I say more. The Iceland episode is the reason I bought this, but all the rest are fantastic too.
