Q: From the instruction video the set up looks like it could take some time, for a hiker on the move his could be a pain?

Yet to try in anger. However with a practice in the garden was very straight faorwards. Being an "erecting outer first", The first two pegs go in upwind, the one pole is then inserted, sprung, and it is up, the two pegs stopping it blowing away. To this point 3 minutes out of the bag. Once the rest of the pegs are in, another couple of minutes shelter is up. Another couple of minutes to attach inner. Observation so far, lightweight, which feels flimsy, however this is normal with new tech. Left up for a couple of days, with a bit of wind and rain, no leaks and stayed up. Hopefully get away to the Scottish Highlands in the next few weeks. I will write a reveiw on return.

Q: Taking this away for the first time this weekend. Do the poles fix easily to the ends of the tent? It looks a bit complicated!

Excellent tent, used it during storm Ciara 😁 Set it up once and you'll never forget how it goes. 1 main pole 2 foot poles, easy as pie.

Q: Is there an official footprint available for this tent?

I haven't found one. I've made one from an emergency blanket (140x210mm), folded to shape, with Gorilla Tape patches at the 6 corners. A 4.5mm hole allows plastic groundsheet pegs to hold the shape. I haven't used it yet to sleep on, but it works OK in the garden. Will also provide some insulation. The mylar film is very strong unless it develops a tear. I got a pack of 12 for £8.49, so can make up more if needed.

Q: Can you pitch the inner and fly together?

I haven't had the need to do that as pitching the whole tent only takes a minute but I can't see any reason why you couldn't leave the inner attached ready for the next pitch.
