As an educator myself, I know that the quality of the white rose resources are very good. The approach is a 'Maths Mastery' one in which children get lots of practise and incrementally build up their knowledge, all the while being supplemented by reasoning (explaining) and problem solving tasks.The great thing about these books is that as a parent/carer you don't often know what your child is up to at school or struggling with. Setting these as supportive 'at home homework' opportunities can be very enlightening - especially if your child's school follows a White Rose scheme such as 'Power Math's.For children with higher levels of anxiety or more complex needs, as a parent or carer you could ask your child's teacher what they are about to learn (or check the school website if it is reliable) and get ahead by pre teaching your child so that they are confident when they get to their lesson.I used the 'Year 2' version for my little one last year and this year I'll use this one.

Excellent book. I love White Rose Maths.

I like the format but the secret word dose sometimes mean my daughter looks for what answers are left. You do some additional items for some challenges. Good but not my favourite learning format.

Really good to improve ur child’s math knowledge

I love White Rose maths practice sheets and used to buy the block booklets. This amazing book is all of the blocks for the whole year in one book!! So much easier use. Our school follows the White Rose maths curriculum, so these books align with what is being taught and provide a great opportunity for me to reinforce learning and ensure all the concepts have been understood. My son has fallen behind a bit in maths, so I’m hoping that by doing these weekly practice workouts, he will be caught up soon. I also bought one for my daughter (yr 6) so that she can look ahead to what she will be studying in school - they are good both for kids who need some extra help, and for those who want to learn ahead. Highly recommend! (Note: the answers are not in the booklet, but there is a QR code to get them online)

My son enjoys maths and therefore enjoys doing this workbook. I find it beneficial as it recaps what he's been learning at school and highlights if there are any areas he needs help with.

Great book in-line with school curriculum. Easy to work through for children & easy to check answers for parents.
