Year 5 Workbook

Great year 5 workbook.There are tips within the book and also questions which makes it easy for little ones to navigate through. The book arrived in excellent condition and I think it’s a great price too.

I must give credit to White Rose Maths – it's been an absolute godsend for us! With my child needing some homeschooling due to health issues, this workbook has truly been a lifesaver, especially in light of the disruptions caused by COVID.The layout is incredibly user-friendly, and the explanations are clear and concise – even for us parents! It's been a joy to witness my child's confidence soar as they tackle the math problems within. Additionally, it's reassuring to know that the content aligns seamlessly with what's being taught in schools. It certainly makes our homeschooling routine feel more aligned with the curriculum. If you find yourself in a similar situation, I highly recommend giving this workbook a go. It's proven to be an invaluable resource for us!

I use these to supplement tutoring materials and pupils seem to like familiar format.

Helpful book to consolidate what is being taught in school (if the scheme is white rose) HOWEVER, beware of incorrect answers within the online mark scheme… hopefully there are not many more mistakes!

My son using this book to support his learning in school. A good product but the parent needs to use the QR code or website to check the answers.

This is a video review - far better for me to show you what I'm talking about as I explain rather than just write about it without giving you appropriate context.The book itself is really well designed and is set out exactly as the White Rose scheme is taught in Primary schools - as a Year 5 Primary School teacher up till a couple of years ago, I know the ins and outs of the White Rose scheme and I go into plenty of detail in the video.You'll need to work together with your child - don't just give them the book and hope that'll make them better at maths. You don't have to get through all the questions in every unit (some of the later questions get tricky) but you should definitely give them a go and try to build your child's resilience so that they gradually get less and less fazed by questions where it's not immediately apparent what they're being asked to do. These are the types of questions they'll be facing in their assessments, so you aren't helping them by pretending they don't exist.And finally, never, never tell your child "I'm no good at maths".

Bought for my daughter to give her extra assistance for school. Sadly one of the first questions is wrong. One minute it shows a figure (numbers) and says something else in words.
