Simple PoE Solution That Works Great
Setting up this switch was incredibly easy – plug and play, just as advertised. It's been reliably powering my PoE devices without any hiccups. The gigabit speeds are a noticeable improvement. A straightforward and effective way to add PoE capabilities to my network.

Plug and Play
This device works great. All I did was take it out of the box and connect the power, then I plugged in the various Ethernet cables and it was working.

Great little POE switch with good POE power budget
Great little POE switch with good POE power budgetNetgear POE switches are really great for all kinds of uses. This unit is a 5 port switch with 4 POE and 1 regular port. These are great for office spaces where you might only have 1 network wall jack but want to plug in a computer, laptop, IP phone or network printer without having to run new wires.Small switch but also very fast as well

Versatile and reliable
I purchased this primarily to carry with me when performing IP camera installs. It is very convenient to plug in multiple cameras in an area to configure and aim them in stages. Once ready, the camera connections can be switched over to the main cable runs, saving a lot of back and forth, or the need for a helper.I like the added feature of isolating each switch port separately from the others, emulating separate vlans. Each port is still 'visible' to the uplink, but not the other ports.I have not experienced any issues with a lack of power for PoE devices. The largest power drain device I've tested so far is a WAP. I'll try to remember to test it with an outdoor Cradlepoint, since they pull a fair amount of power. I'll check the power requirements first, of course. Don't want to ruin any expensive gear.So far I've not experienced any speed issues, but the camera don't have large data throughput. The WAP I tested ran speed tests comparable with the dedicated PoE injector they included. If I have the opportunity, I'll try to run speed tests across local LAN devices to benchmark.
