RC Airplane Ultra Stick 1.1m Almost-Ready-to-Fly EFL14025 Airplanes ARF Electric

This is a beautiful airplane built with balsa wood. I bought the ARF because I wanted to install my choice of high-end digital servos, ESC with reversers, and high quality motor along with Dubro pushrods and tires, etc. It flies like a champ!

Well I just started to assemble the plane. However so far I think it's beautiful

Good manual, decent hardware and quick assembly for fun at the flying field. The only negatives are: not much room inside to fit battery and ESC. If the fuselage had been about 10mm taller or wider you could fit a larger than 2200mah lipo battery in the fuselage.. I used a YEP 60A ESC and extended the battery supply wires to allow some flexibilty to mount the ESC behind the battery. Even with a 2200mah lipo battery the wires from the motor to the ESC make getting the battery secured to the required balance point a little tedious. The good parts; excellent covering job, good strong construction and decent hardware. The only weak area I noticed was the potential for the snap one control surface levers may easily come loose in flight, so I put a drop of medium super glue on each one to ensure they cannot loosen up under extreme use.

Have not assembled the kit, yet. Winter is building season for R/C guys in my part of the world. So will start soon, after the Christmas/New Year season. Have put several of the Horizon Hobby ARF kits together and have never been disappointed. Suspect the same will be true for this one. I am 87, and am sure that I will get a lot of time in the air with this Ultra Stick

Wing is horribly out of true. Wing twist is almost 2" different from left wingtip to right. This is unflyable. Will not buy from E-flite again without a refund.
