Great!
Works great so far, it never moved out of position will driving and my favorite part is how tight the ball joint is. In a lot of these products the ball joint which allows you to position/angle it to your liking, do so but at the cost of being too loose and eventually druping, this one is just loose enough that you can change its position without having to force it but tight enough that it stays exactly where you put it. Magnets good too about average maybe slightly above average strength. Note the CD player insert is SMALL its probably only 2"-3" but so far no problems with it holding once so ever. I think the smaller profile looks better and it doesn't obstruct your dash controls as much, which is nice.Update: Been about a year haven't had to tighten it up or anything still holding strong, Great purchase!

See photos - read before buying.
See The good, The so so, and things to know - see below. Overall I would recommend this product but that depends on your vehicles lay out and driving conditions before buying. The good:CD connector is firm. The magnet connector overall works well and its super easy to attach/remove a phone. It comes with 3 magnetic plates and I put one inside a medium thickness case. I wanted something which was easy to glance at when driving, did not block window field of view, did not block a vent, or take up a cup holder. This almost met those criteria. The so so:The magnetic connection holds relatively firmly but harder bumps on the road can shift the phone on the connection plate which then requires repositioning. On a 100 mile mostly freeway road trip this happened two times.Positioned as seen in the photos it does not obstruct the car screen much without the phone attached, and only partially obstructs one vent with the phone connected. When using the back up camera I don’t leave the phone attached as it obstructs the screen too much, but its easy to put it on when moving forward.Things to know (updated)If you have a heavier/larger phone this can obstruct the screen more than mine, and may not work as well in bumpy conditions as the device is likely to shift. One possible solution would be to mount the connector plate to the outside of a case or directly to your device. Updated - I finally attached the metal plate to the outside of the case and it holds really firm, almost too firm, need to hold onto the mounting point when removing your phone or it might pull out of the CD slot. Mounting on the outside of your case should keep it from shifting even if the road is rough.

FINALLY!! One that works!!
This is I think the 5th one I've bought in the last couple weeks, trying to find a solid replacement for the one that just broke. I kinda liked the one that broke, but it had a shortcoming that made me not want to buy it again. My pickiness is partially just my preferences, but also partly the challenges of my specific application. I bought this for my 2016 Mercedes E350, so if you have one of the versions of that car then hopefully this helps you.My last one of these gadgets worked okay, but it didn't have a tightening mechanism on the collar around the ball adjustment thing that lets you aim the holder whatever direction you want it. Without the tightening mechanism, it started out okay and then slowly lost tension over time until it really didn't do a good job holding my phone up reliably. And then the collar cracked and it became useless. This one about which I am writing this review has a tightening mechanism on the collar that seems to hold the ball snugly in place. Score one for this thing!Next, the particular fitment of my car causes issues with these CD slot devices. The power button/volume knob is directly below the CD slot and really needs to be at least somewhat accessible. So that eliminates many of the contenders since many of them have the really wide bases that fit in the slot. The wide ones won't work because they pretty much all have the slot tightening mechanism that is a large plastic key you use to turn a screw that widens the teeth to hold the whole things in place once you get it in the slot. The large key/screw thing on the bottom is a showstopper for this car since it would block the power button/volume knob. This one about which I am writing this review is the narrower size. The teeth that fit in the CD slot are a total of about half the width of the larger ones you see advertised on Amazon and elsewhere. The narrow ones work in my car because you can install them to the side of the CD slot and it leaves the button/knob open (see picture above). It isn't centered though, so that might offend people with more OCD-ish sensibilities. If it does then basically you have to find a different phone holder solution because you can't use the CD slot. Many of the narrower CD slot phone holders use a convenient button you press to squeeze the spring-loaded teeth together while you insert the device into the CD slot. My last one was like that and it worked just fine. This one, however, has a manual tightening screw on the top which actually was slightly difficult to tighten because this particular car has a trim piece right above the slot that interferes with the turning (see the other picture above). I thought for a minute I was going to have to go looking for a different device again, but it ended up working fine. I was able to tighten it to where it holds just fine.Oh, and some of the other ones I bought in the past week or so had magnets that just weren't strong enough (in spite of their claims). One of the ones I bought was absolutely perfect for all my car's eccentricities, but the magnet was weak enough that my phone would slide around. I have a case on my phone but it is relatively thin so it really shouldn't have been the problem. I tried several different flavors of metal inserts (I've got a million of them since I've bought so many of these phone holder things recently!), but it didn't matter, it was just a weak magnet. This one about which I am writing this review, however, has a wonderfully strong magnet. Strong enough that I actually wondered if the teeth holding the whole thing in the CD slot were going to be powerful enough, but they are. The whole thing sits very snugly in place and I'm very happy with it.As I said in the title -- FINALLY!! One that works!!If you have a post-facelift W212 Mercedes, I can highly recommend this one. Or if your particular car doesn't require this level of pickiness, I imagine you'll love this thing too!!

Secure and Convenient - A Must-Have Car Accessory!
SOOO much better than my previous holder! The OQTIQ Magnetic Cell Phone Car Mount has been a game-changer for my daily commutes. Its magnetic design offers a level of convenience and ease that traditional mounts can't match. I was initially skeptical about the strength of the magnet, but it has exceeded my expectations, securely holding my phone in place even on the bumpiest of roads.Installation was a breeze, and it fits perfectly on my car's dashboard without obstructing my view of the road. The ability to quickly attach and remove my phone with just one hand has made it safer and more convenient to follow GPS directions without taking my eyes off the road. The sleek design is an added bonus, blending in nicely with my car's interior. For anyone in need of a reliable, easy-to-use phone mount, the OQTIQ Magnetic Cell Phone Car Mount is a fantastic choice.

Looks good and very surdy
Just got it installed in my 2016 Subaru Impresa. The original stereo does not have Apple Play so I purchased an 8" Apple Play display. I mounted it on the dash with the provided stand but it was blocking some of my gages and it was difficult to reach. So I purchased this CD car mount. Attached the provided metal plate to the back of the Display and now my dash looks clear. Plus the display is closer to me so it is easy to control. The mount is very sturdy and works well.
