Glad I purchased it.
This is one of my purchases which brings me great joy everyday. I look forward to every opportunity to put on my Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro headphones and listen to my music collection or stream music over Bluetooth to my Shure SE846 in ear monitor or Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 6 speaker. I can only say it sounds probably a tad richer in details than streaming music from Cambridge Audio to Rotel amp into Martin Logan floor speakers and SVS 12 inch subwoofer!I play only high rez Flac files, and they all play smoothly with no glitches or stuttering. The player is heavy and oozes quality. Few grips from my side: The aging Android version and somewhat dated music player UI. Fiio should upgrade the music player with more user functionalities. The placement of the buttons on the side wall where the device is gripped is a bad design as the buttons get pressed inadvertently while handling the deviceAnother minor inconvenience is- I have to use a Fiio provided tool to take out the micro SD card to copy music files into it. There is no place or pocket in the device to store that tiny tool. So either make the SD card access tool less or provide a storage slot of the tool in the player or in the leather carry case.I have not used it as a desktop DAC yet as I already have few other desktop DAC like SMSL. However, it is good to know that the capability is there and if I need it, I can use it with my Laptop or Desktop computers.Fiio has provided a heavy metal stand with a cooling fan for that purpose.Lastly, the leather carry case is practical and looks good too.

Excellent Sound and UI (user interface), RELIABLE!!!!
The Pros:UI: Fast, reliable Android interface (no glitches or crashes like other DAPs I've used.Sound: Excellent, if somewhat clinical sound. Actually, the tuning falls just on the warm side, so it's not dry or fatiguing. And, boy does it excel in....Soundstage and Separation: Fantastic!Power: Great.. it laughs at IEMs, and powers my Sundara and 6xx headphones effortlessly.Battery: Let's just say, I run out of listening time way before the battery is even down 50%Reliability: This is a FiiO product and altho' some claim that they're the Honda of audio - for me, that reliability and consistency of quality is something I appreciate. I loved driving a Saab, but I didn't love all the time spent at the mechanic. The Cons:This DAP is BIG. A brick. Not too big to pocket-carry, but heavy. I like it because it feels solid and well-made - which it seems to be. Part of that size is so that you can use it as a desktop amp/dac. Not of interest to me.That said, my other DAP, the Shanling M6U is the perfect size: petite and powerful; however, it lacks the consistent reliability of the 15s.This DAP comes with its own case (as opposed to the Shanling). So the price difference is very small if you're going to spring for the Shanling case. It also does not get as hot as the M6U, which will overheat to the point of making music clip. This is all about personal taste of course (especially the tuning). I recommend trying this baby out for a week or two, learn its personality and your affinity to its tuning (which for me grew over time).

Short & Sweet: Incredible DAP!
Wow, just wow. Will keep this brief, but (a) the build quality is exceptional, (b) the sound quality is exceptional, and (c) the native PEQ is a godsend. For the last two years, I've leaned hard on a Fiio M11 Plus ESS, and it served me well. But I was ready for a step up (staging, air, slam on the low end, more clarity on the top end, etc.) and I really wanted a native PEQ so I could breathe new life into my wire IEMS. I got everything I was looking for in spades. On the PEQ, I don't go nuts, just wanted to perk up select frequencies on my IEMS, and I feel like I've gotten a new set, even at the top end (Senny IE900s). In tuning each to my ears, on top of the TOTL sound of the M15s itself, I am (again) re-discovering music at deeper, more immersive, and more satisfying levels. I had tried Wavelet on my M11 Plus but could hear enough distortions that I pitched it (Physician's Creed: First, do no harm). Anyhow this package just plain works for me. Any guilt I felt about the price tag was swiftly overwhelmed by the joy of the experience. Again: Wow.

Oh My: I Love This DAP!
I was wondering what was all the hype about FIIO DAP and after purchasing this player based on a recommendation from a renowned smooth jazz artist, Brian Culbertson; I am a believer; incredible player!
