Osti Original cheese slicer, Lime

one of the best cheese cutters i have used,and its better if you buy the replacement wires with the product,you never know when you will need them.

My first impression is that the cheese slicer cuts cheese well. It is easy to clean. My previous slicer snapped in half and I am hoping this one will last much longer, especially as replacement wires are available.

Used it more than once now and still hasn't broken yet so five stars for that. It slices cheese. What more could you want?

Have had one of these before. The last one lasted for 15+ years. Perfect for slicing all but the hardest of cheeses. ( I would not use it on parmesan). Has two different cutting thicknesses depending which side of the slicer (wire) you chose to use. In practice I have found it better to pull it towards your thumb rather than push away from thumb when cutting cheese. Nice and bright in the green colour makes it easy to find in the cutlery drawer.

Vor vielen Jahren habe ich den Ost Käseschneider in Dänemark entdeckt und sofort gekauft.Das Teil funktioniert für alle Käsesorten perfekt, außer bei Hartkäse.Ich schneide damit sämtlich Käsesorten von Camembert bis zum Bergkäse.Leider sind die Asti Käseschneider nicht auf Dauer Spülmaschinenfest, der Griff löst sich mit der Zeit vom Metallteil.Kann mann aber mit 2-Komponenten-Kleber wieder in Ordnung bringen.Wer seinen Osti Käseschneider länger als 10 Jahre in einwandfreiem Zustand halten möchte der sollte ihn nicht in der Spülmaschine reinigen.So wie das auch für gute Messer gilt.

I was concerned about the sturdiness of this product because of some reviews I read but I can slice through a block of cheddar like butter with this slicer. I like having the thick or thin option. Clean up is easy by just running it under hot water and wiping it.

Already had one, needed one for second house!!! Thinking of giving one as a gift. This is such a handy tool.

I was quite dubious about using this type of cheese slicer as I had always had another style.Now I totally prefer this one and style and have thrown the old style dilapidated ones out. It takes so much less storage space in my drawer as well.I have put it through the dishwasher regularly and it seems to work very well for me.

A person who buys an OSTI cheese slicer, needs to buy at least three paks of extra slicer wires to go with it .

Like how smooth this cuts and your choice of both thin or thick slices. The wire is strong, but I ordered a package of replacements to be sure to use this cheese cutter for many years.

This slicer works great. The color is wonderful because it stands out in my drawer and I can easily find it.
