mSATA to USB 3.0 Adapter, mSATA SSD Enclosure Reader, 30x30 30x50 Mini SATA Hard Drive Case, 2TB Capacity, Aluminum, No Cable Required

Laptop died recently and needed a way to retrieve the contents off the old drive. There did not seem to be many options for mSATA SSD enclosures so I am grateful this one has worked fine and done it's job well. It's also reasonably priced which is nice. My only gripe is that it is wide and takes up a bit of space when plugged into my laptop via USB. Overall though very pleased with the purchase.

Sturdy quality, a bit heavy for what it is but still good. A bit thick and might not work for some devices as it needs quite a bit of space to fit and reach in when plugged in.

Product works great and is easy to use. Reads both SAS and SATA drives in just a few seconds and is very sleek and blends well on my desk. However this was clearly a returned unit and showed signs of wear. Product still works fine but definitely wasn't new.

I use this device to access a Seagate Exos 24TB SAS drive. It works great. The write speed is ~270 MB/s, which is comparable in speed to a similar SATA hard drive.

After using this case, my SSD was reborn as a USB stick. It looks great and works perfectly. I love it.

Coping from the inserted SSD, the unit locked up repeatedly after about 40Gb. Not sure if this is the problem but, as noted, unit gets HOT. Another issue (unrelated to the problem) -- unit is wide and after inserting into 1 USB, it block another. A USB ext. cable would fix, but not included. Pic shows 2 screen shots of data dropping out before freezing. (2nd is dark as PC was locked)

I build and tinker with computers a lot. I was not expecting a lot when I purchased this product - I just needed an MSATA to USB adapter that didn't require a cable since I had nothing lying around that would take a MSATA drive. When this arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the product and attention to detail in ensuring the end-user had a positive experience. Unlike many Amazon products from manufacturer names you can't recognize, this product came with not only a full user guide in multiple languages (admittedly there was some broken English and certain instructions were not entirely understandable unless you already had an idea of what you were doing, but nothing major), but also spares for every screw and standoff needed to assemble the product with your given MSATA drive AND AN ACTUAL MAGNETIC-TIPPED PC REPAIR SCREWDRIVER SO THAT YOU WOULDN'T NEED YOUR OWN TO COMPLETE THE INSTALLATION! It was the inclusion of this screwdriver that I knew these guys meant business - I had been meaning to get such a screwdriver for a long time for tiny PC part screws and had no idea one would be included in this product, which is just an amazing quality-of-life touch. 5 star product for a 5 star price - would buy again if I had a need for another, and will definitely look at this brand's products in the future.

Works great on SAS drives. This is the only device that I found that did work with SAS drives. And the price is quite affordable.

Great product,works very well. I used a USB extension cord because it covers 2 USB ports. I recommend this product. I have 2 with different names on them but same setup. Good Deal.
