As with all Peak design gear this is overpriced. However, it is well made, sturdy and holds a camera very securely on a belt or a backpack strap. Useful for quick access to your camera and not having to carry a camera bag.

I’ve got to say, I will only buy Peak Design from now on. It easily takes a Sony Alpha 3 with battery pack and 200-600 mm lens. Sturdy and well designed. Made for professionals.

Peak Design is priced at the higher end of the market, somewhere near the top in fact. The item's well made and does what it says in the product description. However, it does distort the strap it is fixed to. I needed to make my strap more rigid. It was easy enough to do. The longer bolts helped here. There's a rather pathetic handle on the top of the box it came in. Rather weird. Something Barbie might have appreciated. Edited to add: I've tried two other makes of clips, both slightly cheaper. I returned both - one had a manufacturing fault - and I've bought another one of these. The significantly higher price price stops the clip getting five stars. Otherwise recommended.

Simply the best way to carry a camera safely. The camera is locked in place and can't fall off, even if you were to stand on your head, or do somersaults!

Extremely well made, and a great design. Does the job it's meant to do perfectly.

Used once and the release catch on the clip has already become stuck - cannot release camera!!

This cleverly designed and well-made clip makes photography during outdoor activities a real pleasure. The clip comfortably secures even heavy camera/lens combinations. I've used it successfully on backpack shoulder straps and belt but I prefer the shoulder strap location for hiking. It is so easy to grab the camera, take the shot and re-secure it. Before using the Capture Clip I either had a camera swinging around my neck/shoulder or had it in my backpack. The former was both not safe for the camera and required frequently grabbing it to stop it from hitting something. The later was much safer, but required taking off my backpack every time I wanted to take a shot. This clip offers a great compromise. I definitely shoot more while out and about with the camera so easily accessible and safely secured. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants to keep their camera handy and safe while keeping their hands free. It is really a brilliant product.

Mir gefällt diese Kamerahalterung für den Rucksack sehr gut. Ich verwende das Teil für eine Sony a6600. Zusätzlich habe ich da auch eine Handschlaufe dran - die ist beim Spazierengehen sehr praktisch für schnelle Schnappschüsse. Aber gerade beim Wandern, wo man vielleicht mal beide Hände an einer Leiter braucht, ist das schnelle Einklinken der Kamera in die Halterung am Rucksackgurt ideal. Ich habe zwei solche Halterungen - eine für den Kamerarucksack und eine für den leichten Wanderrucksack. Okay, billig ist das Teil nicht, aber es funktioniert und es hakelt und klemmt auch nix - deshalb ist es letztlich den Preis wert.
