I bought this book as a reference for some character design, going in a little hesitant because you never know what you'll get with books on Steampunk. When I opened it up to flip through it exceeded my expectations. It covers several artists and goes over a range of different flavors of Steampunk. The images were a good quality and there was a good mix of full body photos and upper torso shots, for those who care about that.Know this though: This is not a how-to book. It won't tell you how to make what you see in it, but it will inspire you.Also, for anyone who might be getting this for kids, there are a few artistically topless women in one artist's chapter, but nothing to go crazy over. Like said, it's artistic.

Spurgean Vaughn Ratcliffe (together with Graffito Books) has put together what should be considered THE Steampunk Bible of the best and brightest designers in the world, modeled by the most beautiful women and men of the genre. Kato-Gasp! Ulorin Vex-Double Gasp!!. Artists you will find in this book are Steampunk Overlord, Liam Brandon Murray; Dr Brassy Steamington; Ian Finch-Field of Skinz 'N' Hydez; Deana Fukatsu of Octopus Me; and Tom Banwell of Tom Banwell Leather (to name just a few). The book is visually striking and it's no surprise seeing that Topher Adams of Dark Beauty Magazine was on board. This book is a must purchase for any proper Steampunk library.

This book is beautiful. Yes, it is paperback, but from cover to cover the pictures are beautiful and the quality that it is being printed on is sturdy. Each page features great pics of fantastic costumers, fashion designers, jewelry designers, and more! The foreword is so creative...even the back cover as well. The book is big for a "paperback". It's a keeper and a "must have" book for those who appreciate Steampunk. Fantastic!

This book combines great designs and original work by both famous and lesser known artists. All are worthy of praise. Designs are timeless and interesting. The mix of science fiction and time travel with victorian style creates a wonderfully exciting art and clothes as well as jewelry. An excellent introduction to the genre of Steampunk.

Was not what I was expecting. I was looking for ideas for a Halloween costume and this book was more like a who's who in steampunk design. Clothing is mostly shown in extreme close-ups and there is a lot of jewelry.

Nice little paperback filled with beautiful photos of steampunk fashion, including a few shot by me (model to the right on front cover).

This book shows an inspiring overview over all varieties of steampunk, and contains some inspiring ideas. It is quite nice.

As a starting point for steampunk fashion this book is good (not surprising given the title). Some nice ideas and recommended for anyone looking for starter inspiration

I love this book but then again it is steampunk and that is allways good in my opinion any way
