I've had the unit for a little while & it's done well. I like that it's compact & easy to use. I primarily use it for ice fishing & it's a game changer being able to see what's going on in the under water world. Plus it keeps the kids & I entertained when the catching is slow. My only issue has been with the battery. After awhile it didn't keep a charge. I contacted the company & after some back & forth the did send me an updated battery, which was much appreciated!

As far as underwater cameras go a lot of the quality is going to depend on the conditions you use it in. I finally got to use the camera in an extremely clear Wisconsin lake and I was amazed. For the size of the screen and the price the views I got were unbelievable. And there's no latency on what you're seeing, I was able to set the hook on finicky fish with a ton of success. The paint on the camera head also got the attention of a couple musky and walleye, who swam in just to see it.My only gripe with the camera is that because of the placement of the LEDs and the parts inside, it makes it impossible to use at night. You just get a swirling of gunk against the glass and it looks like the glass is reflecting light back at the lens so you can't make anything out underwater. So if you're planning to night fish just stick with a sonar.

bought one for ice fishing for m 13 yr old, the day after in arrived we used it. Pike, perch and crappie showed up and all were caught. Just bought a second one for my 11 year old. If it wasn't March I'd buy one for me and the wife. Can't wait to try this kayaking in the mountain lakes. Seriously a great buy.

Purchased this camera based on the on-line reviews. Battery was no-good out of the box, also its hard fixing the brightness, color and contrast. Started to fish at 7am and was looking at a black wall. 9am got black and white no color unless the camera was out of the water. By 2pm the black wall was back. I'm returning this unit and paying more for something that will work!

Very easy set-up, and picture quality is great. The unit itself is nicely packaged, and everything seems well built. My issue was that the battery didn’t charge. I used it right out of the box, and the battery lasted about six hours. I “charged” the battery, brought it fishing the next day, and it powered off after about 20 minutes. I brought the unit home, charged it overnight, and hooked it up in the house to test the battery. Again, it died after less than 20 minutes (even though the light on the charger was green.) I sent the unit back for a refund. I’m undecided as to whether I’ll repurchase or not. It’s definitely very nice to use while ice fishing — in the one day it worked, I was able to see a school of carp, a school of walleyes, and a large northern. Even in slightly murky/muddy water, the picture quality was really good!

I've only had this underwater camera for a short time but I'm very impressed so far. The picture quality is fantastic, screen size is great, battery life is pretty good, and it's a huge upgrade from my 10+ year old aqua vu that finally quit. I really like the case it comes with as well. Can't say enough good things. Great underwater camera for the price point!
